Help on catching Rayquaza

Can someone help me out on how to catch Rayquaza I already use the master ball to catch Groudon. Whats the best way to catch him.

Well, I just caught him about a month ago, hadn't played for awhile, anyways, The only thing you can do is lower his health a bit and start throwing ultra balls at him, and for me it took a ton of ultra balls, my suggestion is if you have enough cash by like 99 ultra balls, that way your sure to have enough, otherwise, I think around 50 would probablly be more than enough. It takes a long time to catch Rayquaza..........

Well I just caught him last night. I had to re-set like 7 or 8 times since I only have a few Ultras but then I finally got lucky and caught it on the 4th or 5th ball.

As far as strategy, Ice attacks work well to red-line it. You may want to try and give it a condition too (like freeze it) but I just started throwing ultras after it got red-lined, and then it took some re-tries but I got it, so maybe you can do the same. Have patience. Good luck.

or if your patient, you can make a false swiper, to get it to exactly one HP, then hypnosis it or something. what i like to do though is just chuck ultra balls at a Full HP legendary untill i get really lucky, and it works for me. i always save my master ball or use it on a Lati (i have 3 master balls on my ruby, still working in the perfect starter for my emerald)

Throw a lot of pokeballs and great balls.

Unless you have a lot of cash, then throw ultras.

It will work...eventually.

ok so i used an aggron level 45 to catch my raquaza. make sure it knows iron tail, thats a vital part to it. have about 20 timer balls on you, after a few tries it only took one for me to catch it. have a lot of revives and hyper potions too. just keep using aggron and its iron tail. if it faints, use your pokemon as excuses just to use the revives and hyper potions. also, make sure you draw the battle out a little so the timer ball has time to go to full power. hope this helps

I tested this so it works.....very well. Train a scyther until you get false swipes. Then evolve to scizor. Train until he's level 65-70. Also use a very fast paralyzer, Electrode would be best with thunder wave. Use electrode first and paralyze him. You will need about roughly 50-150 ultra balls and a lot of time.

I used 1 Ultra Ball only...had to turn the game off quite some times...its funny but I heard there is a slight chance you may catch Rayquaza without even battling him, just throw an Ultra Ball and see if it happens.

That is a very small chance. There is a minuscule chance that you can catch anything right off the bat by only throwing a Pokeball. Unfortunately the odds of this working on a legendary with their abysmal catch rates is so low that it is not even worth trying.
