Ok I'm back and now I am gonna start to re-post my fanfic that I had started a long time ago. It is now finished so after I get a reply on each chapter another one will immediately go up. Enjoy ;)
CHAPTER 1
Modern Day Domino City:
“And so Kaiba Corporation and its team of scientists, and architects have finally finished Atlantis II. You must take a ferry to get there but once you do you will realize how great Kaiba Corporation is. Atlantis II is a city in the middle of the ocean, and not only is it a city but also a place where my next tournament will be held; The Tidal Wave tournament. This tournament will begin 2 days from today and registration will begin in 1 hour at every gaming shop in Domino City. The rules are exactly the same as battle city, except Egyptian God cards aren’t allowed. Due to Battle City’s results, we do not want to endanger any competitors in this tournament…” Seto Kaiba began to explain in more detail the rules of the tournament.
“Heh, endanger the competitors; Poor, Kaiba. If he thought that the Battle City Finals were intense, he hasn’t witnessed true power. Hehehe.” A dark voice said while standing on top of a building overlooking the public speech that Kaiba was giving.
“Well this sure sounds like a fun tournament, and a safer one.” Yugi said. “Now that the Millennium Items are in safe hands, and Bakura’s spirit of the ring is suppressed, I don’t think we have any worries.”
“Yeah, Yuge, I think we can finally duel with nothing at stake.” Joey Wheeler said.
“I am so happy that everything is back to normal, and we can all enjoy some friendly competition.” Tea said.
“Well let’s go to my Grandpa’s shop so we can register right away.” Yugi said.
The group consisting of Tea, Tristen, Yugi, and Joey began to walk back to Grandpa’s shop.
“In conclusion, this tournament promises to be extremely exciting. The winner not only wins the rare cards that he has gained throughout the tournament, but also gets 10,000,000 dollars in prize money” Seto Kaiba said.
The crowd was shocked at such a big prize.
“You pathetic fools are only in this tournament for the money and fame, but I am going to win because I have something to avenge; the original city of Atlantis!!! You will all learn to fear me, Silen!” Silen said.
He stood almost 6 feet tall. He had shoulder length, straight, dirty blonde hair, and a very pale complexion. He had extremely light blue eyes He wore a black, sleeveless, muscle shirt with strange writings on it. He also wore a pair of worn, blue, jeans, and black boots.
“I will make my way back to Yugi’s Grandfather’s shop to register. Heh, then the fun begins.” He said.
Yugi and his friends had made their way back to Grandpa’s shop.
“Oh, hello, everyone; Come to register I see.” Grandpa said.
“Yep.” Yugi and Joey said in unison.
“Okay, let me just log you into the tournament data base and you will be all set. Okay, everything checked out okay. Good luck guys.” Grandpa said.
At that same moment, another duelist walked into Grandpa’s Store.
*Heh, Yugi and his friends are here. This is perfect.* Silen thought.
“Oh, hello could I help you?” Grandpa asked Silen.
“Yes, I would like to register for the tournament.” Silen said.
The group looked at Silen with excitement.
“What is your name?” Grandpa asked.
“Oh, my name is Silen.” Silen said.
“And you last name?” Grandpa asked.
“My name is Silen. That’s it. Just Silen.” Silen responded.
“Very well, Silen you are registered in the data base and now may duel in the Tidal Wave tournament. Do you need a Duel Disk?” Grandpa asked.
“Yes, thank you.” Silen said.
Grandpa handed him a Duel Disk, and Silen put it on his arm and then took his deck out of his pocket and loaded it into the dueling tray.
“So you duel too?” Yugi asked trying to raise friendly conversation.
“Yes, I do.” Silen said. “Well I must be heading to the ferry now. I’ll see you all later”
“Bye, Silen.” Yugi said.
Silen left Grandpa’s store.
“There is something that I don’t like about that guy, Yuge.” Joey said.
“Oh, Joey, stop it.” Tea said. “He seemed very nice.”
“I don’t know. He reminds me of Marik.” Joey said.
“Joey, don’t say things like that he seems nice.” Yugi said. “And by the way, Kaiba won’t let that happen again.”
“I guess you’re right” Joey said.

The first thing that strikes me about this is that it seems to be nearly all dialogue - in real life, people who are having a conversation rarely just stand there doing nothing while they talk. So try to add a little description.
Also, dialogue should be structured like this if a statement comes before a "said" and isn't a question or exclamation:
"I'm just getting ready for tomorrow's duel," said Thomas.
Note the comma? Also, "said" is a perfectly fine word to use, but using its synonyms once in a while doesn't hurt. Better yet, if it's obvious from the context who is speaking, don't use a speech-related word at all. For example:
“Oh, hello could I help you?” Grandpa asked Silen.
“Yes, I would like to register for the tournament.” Silen said.
Since it's already mentioned that Grandpa is addressing Silen, you could take out the "Silen said" without making it too difficult to tell who is speaking. This would then become:
“Oh, hello could I help you?” Grandpa asked Silen.
“Yes, I would like to register for the tournament.”

Thanks for the reply! I'll definitely take that into consideraton. The sentence structure, description, and dialogue becomes much better as my chapters progress. Since I posted up through Chapter 26 on the old board, I got some great feedback. So as my chapters progressed, I took those into consideration and made the chapters much more detailed in description and took the dialogue down some. ;) Thanks again.

Here's Chapter 2
CHAPTER 2
Silen was walking down the street when he saw a duelist with a Duel Disk on his arm walking towards the ferry as well.
“Hmm. This could be interesting. I can give my Deck a run before I commit to it.” Silen said to himself. “But not only my deck, but also my powers. Hehehe.”
Silen approached the duelist.
“Hey, would you like to have a practice duel before the tournament begins?” Silen asked the boy.
“Do you even know who I am, you loser. I am Weevil Underwood, the champion Insect Duelist, and I will crush you.” Weevil said.
“Heh, I doubt that you are all powerful when you can’t beat Yugi, or his half-witted friend, Joey.” Silen taunted.
“Why, you!!!! Fine, we will duel.” Weevil said. “And I will make you pay for making a mockery of Weevil Underwood!”
Silen led Weevil down an alleyway.
“Okay, it’s time to duel!” Weevil said. “And I am going first. First I will set two cards on the field, and one monster in defense mode.
“Heh. Now you will experience true fear.” Silen taunted. “I play nobleman of crossout on your face down monster!”
A man in silver armor appeared on the field and stabbed through Weevil’s monster
“Oh, no! All of my Man Eater-Bugs are removed form my deck!” Weevil yelled.
“Next I will play Heavy Storm to destroy all magic and trap cards on the field. Now you are fully open to my onslaught of monsters.” Silen said.
A Huge Storm kicked up and destroyed all of Weevil’s face down magic and trap cards.
“I play a field card called Necrovalley.” Silen added
A Huge valley appeared and the sun was setting behind it.
“Next I play Gravekeeper’s Spear Soldier. Since I have Necrovalley on the field My Spear Soldier gets 500 more attack points.”
A Man in Egyptian clothing wielding a long spear appeared on the field.
“So now Gravekeeper’s Spear Soldier is at 2000 for attack. Gravekeeper’s Spear Soldier will attack your life points directly!” Silen shouted.
The Spear Soldier jumped into the air and slashed down at Weevil, knocking him to the ground.
Silen=4000 Weevil=2000
“Ahh! That leaves me with 2000 life points. But I will finish you in the next turn anyway!” Weevil said.
“I am not done yet, Weevil. I set two cards face down in the magic and trap area.” Silen said.
“I draw!” Weevil said, getting to his feet. “I play the Magic Card Insect Barrier.”
A Huge net appeared on the field.
“Then I set 1 card face down in the magic and trap zone, and I also set 1 monster in defense mode. I end my turn.” Weevil said.
“My Turn!” Silen shouted. “I play Gravekeeper’s Cannon Holder in attack mode! Due to Necrovalley being on the field my Cannon Holder gets 500 more attack points making it 1900 for attack.”
An Egyptian Man with ancient clothing appeared on the field. This one was holding a large cannon over his shoulder.
“Ha! You fool. You fell into my trap! I activate DNA Surgery, and change all monsters on the field to Insects; and since I have Insect Barrier on the field you can’t attack me!” Weevil taunted.
All of Silen’s monsters grew green limbs and changed into insects.
“Do you think that I didn’t see through this trick since we started this duel? I knew that you would attempt to use that combo on me, so now I activate my face down card Mystical Space Typhoon! It destroys one magic or trap card on the field. Today its target will be…DNA Surgery!” Silen yelled.
The DNA Sugery trap card was obliterated by a sudden typhoon.
“Nooo! My Combo is ruined!” Weevil yelled.
“Oh, you have lost more then just your combo. I will attack your face down monster with Gravekeeper’s Spear Soldier!”
An Egyptian Gravekeeper speared through weevil’s defensive monster.
“Well my face down monster was Kiseitai! So now I will be gaining 1000 life points every turn!” Weevil exclaimed
“No, Weevil. You just lost this match!” Silen stated.
“What?!? How?” Weevil asked
“My Gravekeeper’s Spear Soldier deals the difference between attack and defense even if your monster is in defense mode! So that means that you lose 1200 life points since Kiseitai’s defense was only 800.”
Silen=4000 Weevil=800
“Now to finish this, My Gravekeeper’s Cannon Holder will attack your life points directly!” Silen shouted.
The Cannon holder shot a beam of white light out of its cannon and the blast took Weevil right off of his feet.
Silen=4000 Weevil=0
“No! I lost! Well this wasn’t an official match anyway, so I don’t have to give you anything and I am still able to continue on in the tournament, Ha you fool. Weevil Underwood always has a backup plan!” Weevil taunted.
“Oh, Weevil you don’t understand who you are dealing with. I don’t want your rare cards. I want something more. I want control of your body, and since you lost to me I can take it!” Silen said.
Suddenly a blue aura began to surround the area, and Weevil’s screams vanished, until he was just standing there with no life in his eyes.
“Now, Weevil, go to the tournament and defeat Yugi!” Silen shouted.
Weevil seemed as if he woke from his trance, but he didn’t as he said, “Yes, Master.”
Weevil walked onto the ferry and waited for Yugi’s arrival.
“Now the tournament will truly begin.” Silen said as he boarded the boat and saw Yugi and his friends boarding as well.

yes, I wanted to start posting where I left off but since it's been such a long time I figured that I would refresh everyone's memory. Starting today I'll post 2 chapters for each reply. So here's Ch. 3 and 4.
CHAPTER 3
“This is so exciting. I can’t believe it. This boat is so big!” Yugi exclaimed as he hastily approached the boat.
Yugi and friends ran onto the boat, when Joey spotted Silen who was standing and looking out onto the ocean.
“Hey, Yuge, look it’s Silen.” Joey said.
“Hey, Silen!” Yugi yelled as he approached Silen.
“Oh, boy. I though I lost these losers for a while.” Silen thought to himself. “Well time to put on my friendly face”
“Oh, Yugi! Hello, how are you?” Silen said in an extremely polite tone.
“Oh, I am fine. So are you ready for the tournament?” Yugi asked.
“Oh, yes. I am a bit nervous, since I know that you and Joey are definitely some tough competition.” Silen said.
“Where do I come up with this <pojo ownz><pojo ownz><pojo ownz><pojo ownz>?” Silen thought to himself.
“Why thank you, Silen. But I am sure that you are a good duelist as well.” Yugi kindly responded.
“Well I try.” Silen politely said.
Suddenly Joey cut in. “Well how about we see how good ya really are.” Joey said. “How about ya duel me? Ya know just for fun!”
“Joey!” Yugi said, “Stop being rude. Silen probably doesn’t wan…”
“Okay, Joey Wheeler. I’ll duel you.” Silen said.
The group gasped at Silen’s response.
“I’ll teach this Joey loser to stay out of my way in this tournament” Silen thought to himself.
“DUEL!” both Joey and Silen Shouted as they took their places on the boat’s deck.
Silen=4000 Joey=4000
“I’ll start us off.” Silen said. “I will set 1 monster in defense mode and 2 cards face down in the magic and trap card area. I end my turn”
“Soo. You’re playin’ the whole secret trick on me, eh?” Joey said.
“Joey, with that mindset you won’t get far in this duel.” Silen taunted.
“Oh yeah? We’ll see bout’ that!” Joey said. “I summon Gearfried the Iron Knight in attack mode.”
A Giant Warrior completely covered in metal armor appeared on the field.
“Now, I set 1 card face down in the magic and trap area, and I equip Gearfried with Fusion Sword Murasame Blade. Now normally Gearfried can’t be equipped. But Since Fusion Sword Murasame Blade can’t be destroyed by effects that negate or destroy magic cards, I can equip Gearfried!”
A Giant blade appeared in Gearfried’s hand. The Blade was glowing bright white as Gearfried’s attack points increased.
“Next Gearfried will attack your face down monster!” Joey ordered
A Man with ancient Egyptian styled clothing appeared on the field. Gearfried ran and attacked it which left Silen’s monster exploding into tiny pieces.
“You have attacked my Gravekeeper’s Spy. When he gets flipped I automatically summon another Gravekeeper from my deck. My choice today is Gravekeeper’s Curse! When Gravekeeper’s Curse is successfully summoned I deal 500 points of Direct Damage to my opponent.” Silen explained.
A small Egyptian Man appeared wielding a magic rod. He began to glow green as Joey’s Life Points dropped.
Silen=4000 Joey=3500
“I end my turn.” Joey said.
“Good. Now I may start mine. I draw 1 card. I play Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your set card!” Silen said.
“I’ll activate it! Scapegoat!” Joey said.
Suddenly 4 sheep of 4 different colors appeared on the field next to Joey’s monster. They were all in defense mode with 0 attack and 0 defense.
“Heh. I saw that coming. I will play the field Card, Necrovalley!”
Suddenly it seemed that The Duel had been transported to a huge dark valley with the sun setting behind the duel.
“As long as Necrovalley is on the field all of my Gravekeeper’s will gain an additional 500 attack and defense. Also, in addition, both your and my graveyards can’t be affected by Monsters, Magic, or Trap cards!” Silen explained.
“Woah! That’s one sweet Card” Joey said.
“For my next move I will Tribute my Gravekeeper’s Curse for Gravekeeper’s Chief! When I summon Gravekeeper’s Chief, I can revive a monster with Gravekeeper in its name to the field, regardless of Necrovalley’s effect. So I will chose to revive Gravekeeper’s Curse in attack mode! Due to its effect you lose another 500 life points.” Silen said. “Also in addition my monster’s get a power bonus form Necrovalley. So Gravekeeper’s Chief is at 2400 and Gravekeeper’s Curse is at 1300!”
A Large Egyptian man with an ancient, gold, staff appeared on the field. He began to chant an ancient spell which revived Gravekeeper’s Curse who began to glow green again, as Joey’s Life Points dropped.
Silen=4000 Joey=3000
“Now, I have to deal with this little Gearfried of yours.” Silen taunted. Hmm, oh I’ve got it! I will now play Offerings to the Doomed. This card makes me skip my next draw phase, but in return I get to destroy one monster on the field. I Chose to destroy Gearfried the Iron Knight!”
Suddenly an altar with candles appeared in front of Gearfried and suddenly Gearfried was shrouded in dark blue light, and then Gearfried shattered into tiny pieces.
“Now I will end my turn by destroying two of your sheep tokens with Gravekeeper’s Chief, and Gravekeeper’s Curse.” Silen said.
Both Gravekeepers charged at Joey’s scapegoats and slashed through them with ease.
“It’s my turn. I draw 1 card!” Joey said. “I summon Hyabusa Knight in attack Mode!”
A small falcon knight appeared on the field wielding two thin blades.
I will now equip Hyabusa Knight with two lightning blades! Now its attack is at 2600!”
Both of the blades in Hyabusa Knight’s hands grew and began to become charged with electricity.
“Go, Hyabusa Knight, attack his Gravekeeper’s Chief and his Gravekeeper’s Curse!” Joey shouted.
Hyabusa went in for the kill. The Lightning surged from its blades and obliterated both of Silen’s Gravekeepers while also taking down Silen’s Life Points.
Silen=2500 Joey=3000
“Heh, now Joey’s back in the game!” Joey taunted.
“Great comeback, Joey!” Yugi exclaimed.
“Well since I can’t draw this turn I will just activate my trap card, Rite of Spirit! This card allows me to revive one Gravekeeper regardless of Necrovalley. So I will revive Gravekeeper’s Chief.”
A Giant Egyptian god appeared on the field with three Gravekeeper’s in spirit form chanting around it. Suddenly the Gravekeeper’s Chief reappeared on the field as it descended from the sky.
Next, I will summon another Gravekeeper; Gravekeeper’s Assailant!” Silen shouted.
A Gravekeeper with all black clothing on, covering everything except his eyes appeared on the field wielding a large twisted blade.
“Due to Necrovalley, Gravekeeper’s Assailant is increased to 2000 for attack. Gravekeeper’s Chief attack Hyabusa Knight!” Silen shouted.
“What is he thinking? Joey’s Hyabusa Knight is stronger then Silen’s Chief.” Yugi questioned.
“Heh, so you are gonna forfeit by killing your own monsters, eh?” Joey taunted.
“No, Joey Wheeler, you are sadly mistaken” Silen said.
“Huh?” Joey said.
“I activate Gravekeeper's Assailant's Special Effect. While Necrovalley is active on the field Gravekeeper's assailant can switch the monster that it is attacking to a different mode. So I will have Gravekeeper’s Assailant switch your Hyabusa Knight to defense mode!”
Gravekeeper’s Assailant charged full force at the strengthened Hyabusa Knight. At the last moment, the Assailant began to chant what seemed to be a curse, and Hyabusa Knight knelt down on one knee signifying that it was in defense mode. Gravekeeper’s Assailant then speared Hyabusa Knight with its blade and Hyabusa Knight shattered into small pieces.
“Now Hyabusa Knight is vanquished. Next, my Gravekeeper's Chief will attack one of your scapegoats!”
The Chief slashed easily through one of the scapegoats.
“But that’s not all. I activate my Magic Card, Royal Tribute!” Silen shouted.
A Giant Sphinx head rose onto the dueling field. Next three men who were fully cloaked began to chant and glow purple. Next a woman was raised my mystical energy. The woman was transferred into purple light and was seemingly offered to the sphinx.
“It can only be activated when Necrovalley is on the field. When I play this it destroys all monsters in both players’ hands.” Silen said.
“Oh, no! Joey is in trouble!” Yugi exclaimed.
Silen=2500 Joey=3000
“Now I will show you my true power, Joey Wheeler! In the next turn you will be finished! I will set 1 more card in the magic and trap card area. But the real surprise will come to you when I win this duel. You thought this duel was tough so far, well you haven’t seen anything yet.” Silen shouted.
“I need to win this duel, Heart of the Cards, don’t fail me now!” Joey said to himself as he closed his eyes and drew 1 card.
CHAPTER 4
Joey closed his eyes and focused all his energy on his loved ones…
“I Draw!” Joey yelled. “Yes! I play Time Wizard!” If I call his spinner right, I destroy all of the monsters on your side of the field! Go Time Wizard!” Joey yelled.
A little Magician with a staff that had skulls and time machines on it appeared on the field. The spinner spun for what seemed to be forever. It slowed down and landed on a Time Machine!
“Yes! Time Wizard, Go! Use Time Warp!” Joey yelled.
The Time wizard shouted, “Time Magic!” and destroyed both of Silen’s monsters.
“Now, Time Wizard, attack Silen’s Life points directly!”
The small wizard flew at Silen and hit him with his tiny staff.
Silen=2000 Joey=3000
“How’s that for a grand play eh, Silen?” Joey taunted.
“Not really. Your grand play has now sealed your fate! I draw one card! Ha! Joey Wheeler, welcome to the end of the road! I play Gravekeeper’s Cannonholder! It is now powered up to 1900 due to Necrovalley.
Another of Silen’s Gravekeeper’s rose to the field, this one in particular was wielding a huge cannon on his shoulder.
“Gravekeeper’s Cannonholder will attack Time Wizard!” Silen ordered.
Gravekeeper’s Cannonholder shot a huge blast from his cannon and demolished Time Wizard.
Silen=2000 Joey=1600
“Next I will activate My Magic Card, Dark Room of Nightmare!”
It seemed that now Joey and Silen were inside a room that was very dark and scary but the Necrovalley field was still shining through the cracks in the walls.
“Whenever I deal direct damage to your life, not counting battle damage, I deal an extra 300 points of damage.”
“Well that ain’t helpin’ ya now, is it? Joey said.
“Oh, yes it is, but you won’t see its true power till the next turn.” Silen said. “I am done.”
“I draw 1 card.” Joey said. “I set 1 monster in defense mode, and I end my turn.”
“Joey, now who’s running scared?” Silen said.
“I ain’t scared!!” Joey yelled back. “I am just being careful.”
“I draw my card. I summon Gravekeeper’s Curse in attack mode! It is increased to 1300 for attack. And Deals 500 points of Damage to you. But due to My Dark Room of Nightmare I will deal an extra 300 points of damage to you.”
A Cloaked Man with a huge staff came to the field yet again. He began to glow green and the green energy was fired at Joey knocking him back a few feet.
Silen=2000 Joey=800
“Alright, Silen come on. Just attack my face down Fiber Jar. Then you will be finished.” Joey thought to himself.
“Joey, you should work on your Poker face. I could tell that you drew something good when you drew during your last turn, and seeing as you only have one monster set, it must be something good. So I won’t give you the luxury of having me attack it. I will beat you in a different way.” Silen said. “I will now activate Gravekeeper Cannonholder’s effect! It allows me to sacrifice one of my other Gravekeeper monsters on my side of the field, and in return I deal 700 points of direct damage to you.”
“Well you can go and do that, because I will still have 100 life points left.” Joey retorted.
“Oh, no you won’t Joey. Did you forget about my Dark Room of Nightmare?” Silen responded.
“Oh no! It will deal an extra 300 damage to me!” Joey yelled as tears began to form behind his eyes.
“Yes, Joey, see you have learned quickly to not mess with me. Go, Gravekeeper’s Cannonholder, Use Gravekeeper’s Curse as a tribute to deal 1000 points of direct damage to Joey!” Silen shouted.
Gravekeeper’s Curse vanished into smoke and then was absorbed by Gravekeeper’s Cannonholder’s Cannon. Gravekeeper’s Cannonholder then aimed for Joey and launched a blast of energy which sent Joey soaring back and landing on the ground.
Silen=2000 Joey=0
“This duel is over. I have won. I am sick of playing games with you; I suggest that you stay out of my way. I have no use for you now, but soon you will be the key to me getting what I want.” Silen mentioned as he walked away.
“Heh, now that I have beaten Joey in a duel, he is free for me to take when I need him. This tournament just got a lot more fun. Ahahahahah!” Silen said to himself.
“Joey!” Yugi and friends yelled as they ran over to him.
“Are you alright?” Yugi said.
“Yeah, Yuge, I’m fine. But that guy seriously gives me the creeps.” Joey said.
“Yeah, I know what you mean.” Yugi commented.
“He did seem sort of evil when you two dueled.” Tea responded.
“I told ya that there was something that I didn’t like about that guy.” Joey added.
“I don’t think this tournament is going to be as safe as we all had planned.” Yugi stated “As a matter of fact, I don’t think this tournament is going to be safe at all.”

I'm happy that you enjoeyd them. :D Here's chapters 5 and 6.
CHAPTER 5
“Those fools think that they have gotten rid of all of the evil. They haven’t even come close to seeing the worst.” Silen thought to himself, “I have waited too long to not win back what is mine.”
Yugi, Joey, and Tea walked around on the ship and saw Weevil staring at Yugi.
“Oh boy, Look who’s back.” Tea said.
“Eh! Bug boy, ya didn’t get enough of me in Battle City?” Joey taunted.
Weevil approached the group.
“Yugi, I am in no mood for your pathetic friends. I have to defeat you, and I will once we get to this island. You’ve got my word on that.” Weevil said as he walked away.
“Hmm. The nerd wasn’t his usual slimy self.” Joey said.
“Something isn’t right here.” Yugi said. “I think this time around we are all going to have to stick together, and truly believe in the Heart of the Cards.”
Tea and Joey both nodded and looked out at the ocean as they approached Kaiba’s new Atlantis.
“So this is the new Atlantis.” Silen said as the boat approached the new island. “It could use some work, but I must give Kaiba credit on this. It does bring back memories.”
“Oh please! I am going to crush all of these duelists on this island.” A voice said, “I mean, I AM Seto Kaiba.”
Silen turned around and saw Kaiba standing next to Mokuba.
“Well, if it isn’t Mr. Seto Kaiba, himself.” Silen said.
“Am I supposed to know you?” Seto retorted.
“Oh, no, you aren’t. But I’m sure you’ll learn to fear my name, Silen.” Silen said.
“Heh, I highly doubt that.” Seto responded.
“Well, when we get to the island, I would love to have my first duel there with you.” Silen said.
“Oh, yes. I would love to kick you off of my island first. So it’s a deal.” Seto said.
Silen walked away from Kaiba and went into his room.
“Well, Seto Kaiba, you have just sealed your fate. My simple Gravekeeper deck was good for Weevil and that fool Joey, but Kaiba will be much harder, so I’ll give him something that he won’t be able to handle.” Silen said, as he looked through a container of cards. “Yes, this deck will be the one that I will use in this tournament, and it will win me back my precious Atlantis.”
The ship arrived at the island about half an hour later. The island was a huge disk that was broken up into rings that all lead to the center of an island where a huge tower was located. Every other ring of the island was glass plated so it looked like a person that was walking on that area was in fact walking on water.
“Whoa!” Yugi exclaimed, “Kaiba really outdid himself this time!”
“Look how pretty it is!” Tea exclaimed.
“This tournament is gonna rock!” Joey yelled out, “Let’s go!!”
“Atlantis…I’m back.” Silen said as he stepped off of the ship.
All of the duelists crowded at the entrance and Seto Kaiba stepped up to a podium at the entrance and spoke into a microphone.
“Welcome all duelists, to the Tidal Wave Tournament set on the island named Atlantis II. This tournament will follow the same rules as Battle City, except no Egyptian God cards are allowed due to the injuries that occurred at Battle City.” Seto said as he glanced in Yugi’s direction, “Each of you will receive two locator cards. At the beginning of a duel you must wager your rarest card, and at least one locator card. The first eight duelists to receive six locator cards will proceed to the center of the island where further instructions will be given. Without further adieu, I would like to get this tournament underway. The Tidal Wave Tournament officially begins right now!”
It didn’t take long for the duelists to receive their locator cards. Within 20 minutes all of the duelists were wandering the island and duels were occurring all over the place. Yugi, Joey, and Tea walked around the island and realized that there were even forests, caves, graveyards, and fields on the island. There were also open spots on the island where the ocean was.
“It looks like Kaiba really tried to encompass all terrains when he made this island.” Tea said.
“Hey, Yuge, isn’t bug boy waitin’ for ya somewhere?” Joey said to Yugi.
“Yeah, he seemed out of character when we saw him. Well I guess we’ll wait and see.” Yugi said.
Silen wandered the island in search of prey. He then remembered the deal that he and Seto Kaiba made on the ship.
**Flashback**
“Well, when we get to the island, I would love to have my first duel there with you.” Silen said.
“Oh, yes. I would love to kick you off of my island first. So it’s a deal.” Seto said.
**End Flashback**
“Well, Seto, come and get me.” Silen said.
“I will.” A voice said behind him.
Silen turned around and stared into the cold, icy, blue eyes of Seto Kaiba.
Both of them stared at each other for a while before Seto said, “Well are we going to duel, or are you too petrified?”
“Oh no, Seto, I am more ready then I have ever been.” Silen responded.
“Fine then, let’s duel!” Seto said.
Silen= 4000 Seto=4000
“I’ll make my move first.” Kaiba said. “I set two cards face down and I summon Vorse Raider in attack mode! I now end my turn.”
“I’ll draw.” Silen said.
“Heh, that fool doesn’t know that my two set cards are Shrink and Crush Card. The second he attacks I will cut my Vorse Raider’s attack in half and when it is destroyed my Crush card will activate leaving his deck helpless against my onslaught.” Seto thought to himself.
“I set three cards face down. Next I play the Magic card, A Legendary Ocean!” Silen said.
The Field below them seemed to turn to water and a huge city of ruins rose behind Silen.
“Welcome to Atlantis.” Silen said. “I’m sure you won’t enjoy your stay.”
“Enough with the talking get to your turn.” Seto ordered.
“Very well, I will now play the Magic card, Mystical Space Typhoon. I choose to destroy the card on your left.” Silen said.
“No, my Crush card!” Seto said.
“Well isn’t that just unfortunate.” Silen taunted.
“Well at least I still have my Shrink Magic card which I can use on his monster.” Seto thought.
“I will now summon Giant Red Seasnake!” Silen shouted. “Giant Red Seasnake is normally only 1800 attack. But due to my Field Magic card, it gets a 200 point power boost to its attack and defense. But that’s not all; my Field Magic card also lowers the stars of all Water monsters by one. Now Giant Red Seasnake, attack his Vorse Raider!”
The Seasnake charged forward and shot a beam of water at Seto’s monster.
“Not so fast!” Seto shouted. “I activate my facedown card, Shrink!”
Silen’s Giant Red Seasnake suddenly appeared to be nothing more then a chew toy that spurted a beam of water that was comparable to a sprinkler at the Vorse Raider.
“Your pathetic creature’s attack points get cut in half, leaving it at a measly 1000 attack.” Seto taunted. “Go, Vorse Raider, Counter attack!”
The Vorse raider charged full speed with its axe at Silen’s Giant Red Seasnake and destroyed it with a single slash. A Minor explosion covered the area as the hologram water splashed up all over.
“Now you lose 900 of your life points, Silen!” Seto said.
Silen=3100 Seto=4000
“See? You can’t defeat the champ.” Seto said. “You are a mere amateur.”
“You have no idea of the stakes of this duel, but you will see soon enough, that you have messed with the wrong person.” Silen replied.
CHAPTER 6
“I wonder where that Silen freak is.” Joey said.
“Yeah, we haven’t seen him since the boat ride.” Yugi said. “Well he has to be here somewhere.”
“Yugi, it’s time.” Weevil said to himself as he spied on Yugi and his friends from inside the forest area.
“I won’t allow for myself to be eliminated by such an amateur.” Seto said to Silen.
“And what makes you think that I am an amateur, Seto. It’s a big world out there.” Silen said.
Kaiba growled at Silen’s witty response.
“It’s my turn!” Seto yelled. “And I still have one more monster then you on the field! I draw, and now I tribute my Vorse Raider for Kaiser Glider!”
A Giant golden dragon appeared on the field, and shined with magnificence.
“Next I’ll set one card face down. I Kaiser Glider give this wimp a Direct Attack!.” Seto ordered.
The Kaiser Glider shot a golden beam at SIlen who laughed as two tornadoes appeared on the field and absorbed the attack.
“What is happening?!?” Seto exclaimed.
“I activated my trap card, Tornado Wall. As long as this trap card is on the field with A Legendary Ocean, all battle damage done to me is reduced to zero.” Silen explained.
“That’s impossible!” Seto shouted.
“Heh, flaunt your deck my summoning powerful monsters, none of them will do you any good, because my Tornado Wall will absorb all of your attacks.” Silen explained. “I draw one card. I play Mother Grizzly in attack mode and end my turn!”
A Giant Grizzly bear appeared on the field.
“Your Tornado Wall may stop damage to you, but it doesn’t stop damage to your monsters! You are an amateur.” Seto taunted.
Silen just smirked at Seto’s remarks.
“I draw one card” Seto said. “I activate the Magic Card, Cost down! By discarding one card from my hand, I can lower the stars of all my monsters by two till the end of the turn. Now I will tribute Kaiser Glider for the Blue Eyes White Dragon!”
A Gigantic white dragon of immense force appeared on the field.
“Next I’ll play the Magic card, Monster Reborn on my Kaiser Glider!” Seto shouted.
Kaiser Glider again appeared on the field.
“Now I’ll play the Magic card, Heavy Storm!” Seto said. “This card will vanquish your pathetic strategy, and I will win!”
A sudden storm kicked up and began to approach Silen’s cards.
“Seto, are you sure that you deserve to even be in this tournament?” Silen asked. “Do you really think that I would leave my strategy wide open for your magic cards?”
Seto stared at Silen with rage in his eyes.
“I’ll take that silence of yours as a yes.” Silen said. “Well you are sadly mistaken. Trap card, Go, Judgment of Anubis!”
A Giant statue of Anubis positioned on a pedestal appeared on the field and the storm subsided.
“No! I saw that loser Joey get this used on him in Battle City!” Seto said.
“Well then, you know that it has the power to negate the effect of a Magic card that would destroy my Magic or Trap cards at the cost of me discarding one card from my hand.” Silen said.
“Yes.” Seto said coldly.
“So that means that you know its second effect as well. I can now destroy one monster on your side of the field and deduct its attack points from your Life Points!” Silen said.
Kaiba looked on as the statue obliterated his Blue Eyes White Dragon. The explosion caused Kaiba to get thrown from his feet.
Silen=3100 Seto=1000
“Had enough, runner up?” Silen said.
“You <pojo ownz><pojo ownz><pojo ownz><pojo ownz><pojo ownz><pojo ownz><pojo ownz>.” Seto said. “I am no runner up, and I will show you my true power!”
“Oh, that’s right, Seto, you won’t even be declared as a runner up in this tournament.” Silen said. “Because I am going to knock you out of it in this duel.”
“It’s still my turn, Silen.” Seto said. “My Kaiser Glider will attack your Mother Grizzly!”
The Golden Dragon charged up for a blast and fired it directly at Silen’s monster. The Grizzly was evaporated by the dragon’s mighty blast.
“Thank you, Seto. I now can pull one monster of the Water element from my deck with an attack of 1500 or less and summon it in attack mode. I choose to summon Revival Jam in attack mode.” Silen said.
A Blue Jam like creature appeared on the field.
“I end my turn.” Seto said in a defeated tone.
“I draw one card.” Silen said. “Seto, tell me, have you ever experienced the power of the God of Atlantis?”
“What are you talking about, Silen?” Seto asked. “Everyone knows that only three God cards exist. They are from ancient Egypt and noting compares to their power.”
“Well you must have been misinformed.” Silen said. “Let me show you God.”

CHAPTER 7
“I play the Magic card, Premature Burial. This card makes me pay 800 of my Life Points, but in exchange for that I get to bring back one monster from my Graveyard.”
Silen=2300 Seto=1000
“I choose to revive Giant Red Seasnake! Next I will remove my Mother Grizzly from the Graveyard to Special Summon Aqua Spirit in attack mode!” Silen said. “Scared yet?”
“Not in the least, none of your pathetic monsters are strong enough to take down my Kaiser Glider.” Seto said.
“Then allow for me to turn this duel up a notch! I Tribute Revival Jam, Giant Red Seasnake, and Aqua Spirit as well as The Legendary Ocean to Summon the God of Atlantis, Rapture!” Silen screamed.
The field cards as well as all of Silen’s Monsters were absorbed into Blue Light which formed a gigantic beast that was three times the size of Obelisk. It was wrapped in blue light and was the deepest blue imaginable. It wore an ice blue crown and had many spikes protruding from its body. Its attack strength stood at 10000.
“What is that thing!!!??” Seto yelled out.
“This, Seto, is The God of Atlantis! Silen shouted. “And now let me demonstrate its power!”
The beast obliterated everything on both players’ sides of the field. It gained 15000 attack points. The beast now stood at 25000 attack.
“What is going on?!?!” Seto screamed.
“My monster destroys every card that is on the field when it is summoned, it then gains 5000 attack points for every card that it destroyed in that way.” Silen explained. “Seto Kaiba, you now will learn to never underestimate me. Rapture, Attack Seto Kaiba, now!!!”
The blue beast charged up energy in its mouth that formed every color of the rainbow. The Beast could be seen from all over the island.
“Yugi, look at that thing!” Joey yelled.
“What is it?!” Yugi exclaimed.
Yugi, Joey, and Tea all ran towards it. They approached the duel between Kaiba and Silen just as Rapture was launching its attack.
“It’s over Seto Kaiba!” Silen yelled.
The Beast launched its attack and sent Kaiba flying. Kaiba landed hard on the ground as the energy beam was still hitting him. It seemed that the beam was pressing him into the ground.
“Stop this, Silen!” Yugi yelled.
Silen stood with his arms crossed as Kaiba was continuing to get slammed into the ground by Rapture’s attack. The beam finally began to stop, as Kaiba’s Life Points reached zero.
Silen=2300 Seto=0
Silen stared at Kaiba who was bleeding from his mouth. Kaiba began to talk.
“Y…Yugi.” Kaiba said. “He’s s…stronger then M…marik. Y…You h…have to stop him.”
With that Kaiba’s eyes closed and his body stopped moving.
“What did you do to him, Silen?!” Yugi yelled.
“Nothing compared to what I am going to do to him.” Silen responded.
A Blue Light surrounded the area and one could see Kaiba’s body being surrounded in white light.
“You better hope that your friend is dead, because if he isn’t you have more problems to worry about then me.” Silen stated.
“Why, you!” Joey said as he charged at Silen with his fists clenched.
As Joey tried to punch Silen a blue energy barrier surrounded him and sent Joey soaring back and landing on the ground.
“You better keep your hands to yourself unless you want to end up like Seto.” Silen taunted.
Silen then walked up to Kaiba and took one locator card, and one of his Blue Eyes White Dragons.
“I’ll keep these as souvenirs.” Silen said as he began to walk away.
Silen turned and looked at Yugi who seemed to be taking on a stronger form.
“Silen, I will make you pay for what you have done!” Yami Yugi said.
“Oh, Yugi, don’t think that I went out of my way to hurt poor Seto. That was only the power of my deck. If it was my power he would be torn limb from limb.” Silen responded. “You best not worry about Seto; you have someone else waiting for you in the Forest.”
With that Silen walked away from the scene of the duel.
An emergency team appeared on the scene and carried Seto off of the island in an Emergency Rescue boat.
“That jerk!” Joey yelled.
“Poor, Kaiba!” Tea said with tears in her eyes.
“Silen, I will find you and I will make defeat you!” Yami Yugi thought to himself as his eyes began to fill up. “I will make you pay.”
CHAPTER 8
After the dramatic duel Yami, Joey and Tea all walked around the island in a state of mental paralysis.
“I can’t believe that Silen beat Kaiba.” Tea said.
“Kaiba was right. He must be stronger then Marik.” Yami said.
“Yugi, I’m really scared.” Tea said.
“I won’t let him pull anything like what Marik pulled in Battle City.” Joey said.
“Hey, guys, what’s up?” a familiar voice said. “Did you see what happened to Kaiba?”
Yami, Joey, and Tea all looked up and said in unison, “Mai!”
“In the flesh.” Mai said with a wink. “I heard that some guy named Silen was behind all of this.”
“Yeah, and he seems to be more powerful then Marik” Tea said.
“M…Marik.” Mai said as tears began to fill her eyes.
*Flashback*
“J…Joey!?” Mai said trembling as she was chained to an ancient tablet.
“Mai! You remember!” Joey said. “I won’t let anything happen to you Mai!”
“Ra, Obliterate them both!” Marik yelled.
*End Flashback*
“Mai, are you alright?” Joey said as he tapped Mai on the shoulder.
“Oh, yeah I’m fine.” Mai said wiping her eyes. “Hey, Yugi, you seem awfully quiet.”
“Oh, I’m sorry Mai; I’m just a tad bit distraught over this new threat.” Yami answered.
“Well, there’s nothing to be afraid of, I mean Marik had Egyptian magic on his side. This loser, Silen just has a powerful card.” Mai responded.
“I don’t know, Mai.” Yami added.
*Flashback*
“What did you do to him, Silen?!” Yugi yelled.
“Nothing compared to what I am going to do to him.” Silen responded.
A Blue Light surrounded the area and one could see Kaiba’s body being surrounded in white light.
“You better hope that your friend is dead, because if he isn’t you have more problems to worry about then me.” Silen stated.
*End Flashback*
“I think Silen has powers beyond our comprehension.” Yami added.
“Yugi, it’s time.” A voice said as he stepped out from behind a tree.
“Weevil!” Joey yelled.
“Shut it, Wheeler. My concern is not with you, but with Yugi.” Weevil added.
“Weevil, what is the meaning of this?” Yami shouted.
“Oh, it’s time for a bit of revenge, Pharaoh!” Weevil added.
“How does he know?” Yami thought to himself.
“Now, keep quiet, all of you. I want to duel with the best.” Weevil said.
“Fine, Weevil. I accept your challenge. I will bet one locator card.” Yami added.
“Yugi, locator cards aren’t the point of this duel. But your soul, is!” Weevil said as he began to chuckle to himself.
Both of their Duel Disks opened and suddenly they were surrounded in an aqua blue barrier. Joey, Tea, and Mai could only watch from the outside as the duel took place.
“What is going on, Weevil?!” Yami shouted.
“Just think of this as Atlantis’s equivalent of the Shadow Realm.” Weevil added. “Welcome, Yugi, to the Apocalypse Aura!”
“The Apocalypse Aura?!?” Yami shouted.
“Yes, and the loser in this duel will be offered up to my master’s ritual. When he succeeds, the world will never be the same.” Weevil explained.
“Silen!” Yami shouted.
“Enough chatting, let’s get this duel going.” Weevil said.
Weevil=4000 Yami=4000
“I’ll begin.” Weevil said. “I draw. I set one card in defense mode, and one card face down in the magic and trap area. I end my turn.”
“I draw!” Yami said. “I will summon Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts in attack mode.”
A Giant dog like beast appeared on the field.
“Next I will set two cards face down. Go, Gazelle, attack his monster!” Yami ordered.
“I activate my trap card, A Feint Plan!”
Freed the Matchless General appeared on the field and stuck his hand out. Gazelle suddenly stopped in its tracks.
“What did you do, Weevil?!” Yami asked.
“A Feint Plan doesn’t allow for face down monsters to be attacked for the entire turn.” Weevil snickered.
“I end my turn.” Yami said.
“Then I will draw.” Weevil said. “I will now flip over my face down monster, Parasite Paracide!”
A giant bug appeared on the field and immediately dived into Yami’s deck.
“This card will be shuffled into your deck. The real surprise comes when you draw it.” Weevil said. “To end my turn, I will set two cards face down, and yet another monster in defense mode.”
“I draw!” Yami said. “I will tribute my Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts for Dark Magician Girl!”
Gazelle disappeared form the field, and a beautiful magician girl appeared on the field wielding a magic wand.
“Next, I will attack your face down card!” Yami ordered.
The Dark Magician Girl sped at Weevil’s defense and cast a beam of magic at it.
“Thank you, Yugi. You’ve activated my Man eater Bug’s effect.”
A Giant bug with fangs of immense length appeared on the field and Dark Magician Girl was immediately destroyed alongside Man Eater Bug.
“My Man Eater Bug destroys one monster on the field, when it is flipped face up.” Weevil taunted.
“I will end my turn.” Yami said.
“I draw.” Weevil said. “Now I will play, Jirai Gumo in attack mode!”
A Gigantic red spider appeared on the field and it let out a large screech.
“My Jirai Gumo stands strong at 2200 attack points. Next I will equip it with the Magic card, Big Bang Shot. This card gives my Jirai Gumo 400 more attack points as well as giving it the ability to attack through a defense mode monster and still deal the difference to your Life Points.” Weevil said. “Now for the attack, when Jirai Gumo attacks I have to flip a coin, if I call it correctly then the attack goes through. If I call it wrong, the attack still goes through, but I lose half of m Life points. But regardless of the outcome, you will still be lower in life points then I am. So I call heads!”
A coin appeared on the field and flipped itself as Jirai Gumo attacked Yami. The coin landed on heads.
“Yes! Now My Jirai Gumo will attack your Life points and I will lose nothing!” Weevil said.
“Oh yes, you will, Weevil!” Yami said. “I activate my trap card, Call of the Haunted, to revive Dark Magician Girl.”
A graveyard appeared and Dark Magician Girl appeared once again on the field although she looked like a zombie.
“Yugi, they call you the king of games?” Weevil taunted. “My Jirai Gumo still has 600 more attack points then your Dark Magician Girl.”
“That may be true, but I will get to worrying about that next turn, because now I activate my next face down card, Magic Cylinder!” Yami said.
Two cylinders appeared on the field. Jirai Gumo went in one that was facing Yami, but came out the other that was facing Weevil as it attacked Weevil directly.
Weevil=1400 Yami=4000
“Argh, Yugi! You will pay for that!” Weevil said. “I end my turn.
“Get ready Weevil, I draw one card.” Yami said.
Suddenly Parasite Paracide appeared once again on the field, and then Dark Magician Girl looked like an insect as she grew antenna and her body turned green. Also, Yami lose 1000 life points.
Weevil=1400 Yami=3000
“What is happening, Weevil?!” Yami asked.
“This is the effect if my Parasite Paracide card. When you draw it, you lose 1000 Life Points, and all of your monster become insect type monsters, as long as my, or should I say your, Parasite Paracide card is on the field.” Weevil explained.
“I will tribute my Dark Magician Girl, and Parasite Paracide for Dark Magician!” Yami ordered.
Both monsters dissolved from the field, and a stronger male Magician with a large staff appeared in their places.
“Now your little plan is vanquished, and I will now equip my Dark Magician with the Sword of Dark Destruction!”
A Massive sword appeared in Dark Magicians left hand and it surged with powerful dark energy. Dark Magician’s attack grew to 2900.
“I attack your Jirai Gumo with Dark Magician!” Yami ordered.
The Dark Magician crossed his sword and his staff and fired a beam of black magic directly at the Jirai Gumo obliterating it from the field.
Weevil=1100 Yami=3000
“I end my turn.” Yami said.
“Come on, Yugi, you can beat this freak!” Joey said.
“I draw one card.” Weevil said. “Yugi, prepare for your deck to be infected, I activate my two face down cards, DNA Surgery, and Insect Barrier. Now all monsters will be treated as Insects, due to DNA Surgery, and Insect Barrier stops all of my opponent’s Insect monsters from attacking.”
Dark Magician turned pale, and grew antennae as well as its arm turning into a green insect arm. Then the net appeared in front of Dark Magician signifying its inability to attack.
“Now for my monster.” Weevil said.” I set one monster in defense mode, as well as this Magic card which will seal your fate, you probably aren’t familiar with it, its name is…”

Here's 9 through 12.
CHAPTER 9
“Its name is Wave Motion Cannon!” Weevil shouted.
A Cannon that was being maintained by miniature Cannon Soldiers appeared on the field.
“This card will charge during every one of my turns. Each turn it gains 1000 points of damage. Whenever I fell like it, I can unleash those points and they will deal that much direct damage to you!” Weevil shouted.
“Woah, Bug boy stepped it up a notch!” Mai said. “Come on Yugi, you can beat this, if you beat Bakura’s strategy, then this should be just as easy!”
“You have set up a good strategy, Weevil, but I will be the one to vanquish it.” Yami said. “I draw one card. I will now play the Magic card, Polymerization! This card fuses together the Dark Magician on the field, and the Buster Blader in my hand to form the almighty Black Paladin!”
Dark Magician was warped together with a giant swordsman to form a Magician that resembled the Dark Magician but had a suit of armor that resembled that of the Buster Blader. The second that it appeared on the field, it turned a pale green color, and grew insect arms as well as some other insect features.
“Go ahead, Yugi, you can flaunt all of your monsters now, because in three turns you will be vanquished!” Weevil said.
“No way, Weevil.” Yami responded. “I didn’t say that I was done. I will play the Magic card, Heavy Storm to destroy all Magic and Trap cards on the field.
“Heh, Yugi, you are so foolish. I activate my trap card, Magic Jammer. I can discard a card from my hand to negate and destroy your Heavy Storm.”
As the storm approached Weevil’s cards, a magic seal that appeared absorbed the storm and Weevil’s cards were left unaffected.
“I end my turn.” Yami said in a defeated tone.
“I draw. Now my Wave motion cannon charges for 1000 points. But don’t worry I won’t unleash its wrath just yet. I will set yet another monster in defense mode, and end my turn.” Weevil said with a threatening tone.
“I draw one card!” Yami shouted, “I play Breaker the Magical Warrior in attack mode!”
A Magician in a suit of armor appeared on the field and glared at Weevil as it too was transforming into an insect.
“I will now use Breaker’s Special ability. I can remove one Magic counter that it has when it is summoned to destroy one Magic or Trap card on the field. I choose to destroy, Insect Barrier!” Yami ordered.
Breaker the Magical Warrior summoned a spell that immediately destroyed the Insect Barrier, but at the same time lowered its own attack from 1900 to 1600.
“My Breaker’s counter gives it a 300 attack power boost, but I will willingly sacrifice that boost to obliterate you!” Yami shouted. “I now play the Magic card, Monster Reborn, on Dark Magician!”
Dark Magician reappeared on the field but also was turned into an insect.
“Now, Breaker the Magical Warrior attack Weevil’s defense monster!” Yami ordered.
“Tsk Tsk Tsk, Yugi.” Weevil said. “I always have a backup plan. Trap card activate, A Feint Plan!”
Again, Freed the Matchless General appeared on the field, and halted all of Yugi’s monsters.
“No! Yugi!” Tea screamed.
“Yugi, just give in.” Weevil said.
“I end my turn.” Yami answered.
“I draw, and I charge my Wave Motion cannon yet again.” Weevil said.
The Cannon’s beam that was charged grew larger ad the Machine began to shake.
“I will now play the magic card, Dark Door.” Weevil added.
A Door with shadow creatures emerging from it appeared on the field.
“This card will only allow for you to attack once during your next turn, and since I have two monsters, the most you could do would be to attack one of them, and I will just unleash the power of my Wave Motion Cannon on you in my next turn which will finish you.” Weevil explained. “Now I will end my turn.”
“Yugi, don’t give in!” Joey shouted.
“Yeah, Yugi, don’t let this nerd beat you.” Mai added.
“Come on, Yugi, you can do it!” Tea shouted.
“I have to do this. I have to beat Weevil in order to stop Silen. If I don’t the world could be in trouble. Heart of the Cards, guide me.” Yami thought to himself.
“It’s time, Weevil!” Yami yelled. “I draw one card!”
Yami held up the card as it lit up.
“I activate the Magic card, Diffusion Wave Motion!” Yami yelled. “At the cost of 1000 Life Points, only one of my seven star or higher Spellcaster monsters can attack, but it can attack all of your monsters at once.”
Weevil=1200 Yami=2000
“Ha! Yugi, regardless of that, you still won’t touch my Life Points!” Weevil yelled back, “Also, my set monsters are both Man Eater Bugs. So when you attack them your monster will be vanquished.”
“Not quite, Weevil. My Diffusion Wave Motion negates the effects of all the monsters that my chosen Spellcaster destroys.” Yami retorted.
“Yugi, the fact still stands that your Monster won’t touch my Life Points!” Weevil answered.
“Oh yes, I will. I activate the Magic card, Double Spell!” Yami added. “This card allows for me to discard one Magic card in my hand in order to use one of your Magic cards.”
“That’s impossible!” Weevil said.
“I now discard Book of Secret Arts to use your Magic card, Big Bang Shot!” Yami yelled. Now My Dark Paladin can attack all of your monsters get a 400 point power boost, and still doing damage to your life Points!”
“It’s…i…impossible.” Weevil said.
“Go, Black Paladin, Attack his monsters at once, Descending Blast of Chaos!” Yami yelled.
The Black Paladin charged for a spell and blasted all of Weevil’s monsters while at the same time destroying Weevil’s Life Points.
Weevil=0 Yami=2000
The Apocalypse Aura, closed in on Weevil, and he screamed as his body began vanishing. His body turned into Blue energy and was sent into the sky.
“Yugi, you did it!” Tea yelled out as she ran up to Yugi throwing her arms around him.
“Good, job, Yuge!” Joey added as he gave him a high five.
“I knew you could do it, Yugi.” Mai added. “I guess that Silen creep does have powers.”
“It looks like we are going to be revisiting Battle City.” Joey added.
“Well this time, things will be different.” Mai added. “No way am I going to let some psychotic creep hurt me again, I will be the one to stop him this time. My deck got a nice boost and I’m ready to kick some psycho ass.”
“Heh, heh, heh.” Silen laughed to himself as he watched the group form a distance. “Mai, I know I can depend on you to keep that rough attitude. But get in my way, and I’ll put you in such a state of misery that it will make Marik look like he was an amateur.”
CHAPTER 10
Yami, Joey, Tea, and Mai walked around the city not knowing the challenge that was going to face them next.
“Oh, Yami, you think you are just dealing with another Pegasus, or Marik. You are so mistaken. I’ve got challenges set up for you throughout this whole tournament. Seto Kaiba may have run this tournament but now it’s time for me to take over.” Silen said to himself.
Suddenly Silen began to chant an ancient hymn and the entire city of Atlantis II was covered in what seemed to be the Apocalypse Aura.
“What is going on!?!” Yami said.
“This is freaking me out.” Mai added.
“Yugi, it looks like the Apocalypse Aura!” Tea said.
“I bet that creep, Silen is behind all of this.” Joey added
Suddenly from the middle of the island, Silen appeared floating in the sky.
“Hello, all duelists, there has been a slight change of plans. Due to Mr. Kaiba’s unexpected departure, I have decided to take over in his place. What we are all in is something that I like to call the Apocalypse Aura. The loser of any duel while this Apocalypse Aura is here will lose their soul to me. This is quite unfortunate for those of you who are about to lose a duel.” Silen explained.
Suddenly many duelists dropped to the ground as their Life Points reached zero, and white balls of energy could be seen rising fro their bodies and being absorbed into the Apocalypse Aura.
“There goes the first batch.” Silen said. “Well there is no escaping the Apocalypse Aura, and the only way to get out is to win this entire tournament, which is highly unlikely.”
“Silen! Leave these people out of it!” Yami yelled out. “The one you want is me! Let us duel in the Apocalypse Aura!”
“Oh, there you are, Yami.” Silen said. “Oh, we’ll be dueling soon enough, but I need some more souls before the true finals can start, heh heh heh. Now, I do understand that some of you have come to this tournament to cheer for your friends, well consider yourselves also part of this tournament now.”
Suddenly Tea’s arm began to glow, and a Duel Disk appeared there.
“Now, in front of you all is a scrolling list of Duel Monsters cards. Pick 40 of them for your deck.” Silen said.
“Tea! Don’t do it!” Joey yelled out.
“I have to, Joey.” Tea responded as she began to choose her deck.
“Tea won’t last a second in this tournament.” Mai whispered to Yami.
“We have to stop this.” Yami said.
“Now that everyone has chosen their decks, this tournament can continue. Oh, yes, and another rule, since the loser of a duel will be out of a soul, the winner can take all of the loser’s locator cards.” Silen added. “Now the Tidal Wave Tournament can resume!”
Silen began to lower to the ground as a swarm of people charged him in hopes of stopping his magic.
“Fools, all of you.” Silen said as he raised his arm and sent the whole group soaring backwards.
Most of them were knocked out, but some that were stayed lying down due to their lack of energy.
“Yugi, I don’t want to be here anymore.” Joey said. “If we both make it into the Finals we will have to duel under the Apocalypse Aura, and one of us will lose our soul.”
“Joey, I won’t allow for that to happen.” Yami said.
Yami, Joey, Mai, and Tea looked around them, and saw that duels were still taking place and people were losing their souls at a rapid pace.
“With this still keeping up, the Finals positions will be taken quickly. We have to move if we want to survive this.” Mai said.
“Silen has sent me to destroy one of you.” A voice said
The group turned around and saw before their eyes, a man standing about six feet tall, and wearing all black. His hair was long and pulled back into a long, dark blue, ponytail. His eyes seemed as if they were black. His skin was pale, and he stared at the group.
“You.” He said pointing to Mai. “Let’s go. If you turn down my proposal, Silen will have your soul right now.”
“Fine, you loser, I’ll duel you, and I’ll win!” Mai retorted.
“Mai, you can’t!” Yami yelled out.
“Yugi, There’s no other way for me to win this then by beating everyone here. Don’t take it personal, kiddo, but don’t think you’ll stand in my way either.” Mai added.
“Let’s Duel, Mai.” The man said. “My name is Kyo, I figured that the least I could do was tell you my name before I beat you.”
“Oh, get over yourself, hun.” Mai responded.
Mai=4000 Kyo=4000
“Ladies first.” Mai said. “I draw one card. I summon Cyber Harpie in attack mode, and I set two cards face down to end my turn.”
A Harpie with long red hair, a blue suit of armor that covered her upper body, and talons that seemed able to rip through anything appeared on the field.
“I draw one card.” Kyo said. “I play the Magic card, Painful Choice. You have to pick one of the five cards that I chose from my deck to go to my hand and the rest go to the graveyard. The cards I choose are, Jinzo, Spell Canceller, La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp, Opticlops, and Archfiend Soldier.”
“Heh, not really a Painful Choice, hun.” Mai said, “I choose La Jinn to go to your hand.
“Fine then, I summon La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp in attack mode. Next I activate the Field card, Mystic Plasma Zone.” Kyo added.
A Genie appeared on the field, and Lightning bean to pour around him as the field grew darker.
“With the Mystic Plasma Zone card, my Dark monsters get a 500 power increase for their attack, but their defense is lowered by 400.” Kyo explained, “So now my La Jinn is at 2300 for attack, more then enough to crush your Harpie. Go, La Jinn!”
La Jinn began to charge at Mai’s Cyber Harpie.
“Not so fast, hot stuff, I activate my trap card. Mirror Wall, activate!” Mai said.
A Mirror appeared on the field and it lowered La Jinn’s attack by half; cutting its attack to 1150.
“So now you ran your monster into a counter attack. Go, Cyber Harpie, counter attack!”
The Harpie soared at The La Jinn, and slashed him down with her claws.
Mai=4000 Kyo=3350
“I’ll end my turn by setting one card face down.” Kyo said.
“Now it’s my turn. I will play the Magic card, Elegant Egotist. This card triples my Harpie lady!” Mai said, “To make the Harpie Lady Sisters!”
Suddenly the one Harpie Lady split into three one with orange hair and another with blue spiked hair.
“Now, my Harpie Lady Sisters, attack his Life Points!” Mai yelled.
“I activate my Trap card, Mai.” Kyo said, “Now it’s the beginning of the end for you.”
CHAPTER 11
“I activate, Call of the Haunted!” Kyo said. “This allows for me to revive one Monster from the graveyard. I choose, Jinzo”
Suddenly an android appeared on the field.
“Now, Jinzo, counter attack!” Kyo ordered.
The Android charged a ball of energy in its hands and fired it at the charging Harpies which were immediately destroyed.
Mai=3550 Kyo=3350
“I end my turn by setting one monster in defense mode.” Mai said.
“Without her trap cards, Mai is helpless against Jinzo.” Joey said, “She needs to draw a powerful Magic card to take that thing down.”
“Mai, feel the wrath of my deck.” Kyo said, “Now I play the Magic card, Premature Burial. This card allows for me to revive one monster from my graveyard at the cost of 800 of my own Life Points.”
Mai=3550 Kyo=2550
“I choose to revive, Spell Canceller!” Kyo shouted.
Another Machine appeared on the field this one looking much more robotic then Jinzo.
“As long as this card remains on the field, neither of us can play any Magic cards, and all Magic cards on the field are negated.” Kyo explained.
“Mai is in serious trouble.” Tea said.
“Now, Jinzo attack her monster!” Kyo ordered.
Jinzo charged up another energy ball and fired it at Mai’s face down monster.
“You’ve destroyed my Birdface.” Mai said. “When it gets sent to the graveyard as a result of battle, I can search my deck for one Harpie Lady and place it into my hand.”
“Eh, not a big deal, without your Magic cards, you are helpless.” Kyo said, “Go, Spell Canceller, attack her Life Points directly!”
The Spell Canceller whipped and thrashed on the field and suddenly wires burst form it and whipped Mai with electricity.
Mai=2750 Kyo=2550
“I end my turn.” Kyo said.
“I draw one card!” Mai yelled, “Kyo, I set one monster in defense mode, and I will set one card face down. I end my turn”
“Mai, haven’t you realized that you face down cards don’t scare me, Magic or Trap my monsters will destroy them both!” Kyo said. “I draw, and I summon Gemini Elf in attack mode.”
Twin elves both female appeared on the field holding hands.
“You, Mai, are through.” Kyo said. “Jinzo, attack her monster!”
Jinzo charged up an energy ball and fired it at Mai’s defense.
“Kyo, I bet you depend on your monsters to negate all Magic and Trap cards, and have only a select few Magic and Traps of your own in your deck; such cards as painful choice to get your negation monsters into the graveyard, and then revival cards to get them to the field.” Mai said.
“Well aren’t you perceptive.” Kyo retorted.
“Yes, but one thing you have no defense against is monster effects!” Mai said.
A little sphere appeared on the field that grew into a plant.
“You’ve activated my Fiber Jar.” Mai said. “This card shuffles all cards back into our decks and we draw a new hand of 5 cards. But since you’ve already summoned you are done for this turn, leaving your Life Points wide open.”
“Damn you.” Kyo said as anger and hatred filled his eyes. “I end my turn.”
“Then I’ll begin mine.” Mai said with a wink. “I draw one card. Perfect! Kyo it’s been fun, doll, but it’s time to end this. I summon Cyber Harpie to the field in attack mode.”
Again a Harpie Lady with some armor on it appeared on the field.
“Now to finish you off, I play the Magic cards Rising Air Current and Rose Whip.”
Suddenly the field grew windy and in the Cyber Harpie’s hand appeared a large whip made of rose petals and thorns.
“My Rising Air Current raises my Harpie’s attack to 2300, while Rose Whip gives her an additional 300 attack points.” Mai explained. “Now My Cyber Harpie stands strong at 2600 attack points. Go Cyber Harpie, finish this loser off!”
The Cyber Harpie flew at Kyo and whipped him with the Rose Whip. Rose Petals descended from the sky as Kyo’s Life points dropped to 0.
Mai=2750 Kyo=0
“I was the first test, soon all of you will fall victim to the Apocalypse Aura.” Kyo said. “See you all in hell.”
With that, Kyo fell to one knee and then collapsed as he was covered in white light and his soul soared into the sky and became one with the Apocalypse Aura.
“Well, that’s that.” Mai said.
“Great job, Mai!” Yami yelled.
“It was nothing.” Mai said calmly as she tried to hide her inner distress.
Mai approached Kyo’s body and pulled Call of the Haunted out of his deck as well as his 4 locator cards.
“Well, that’s all I needed to get into the Finals.” Mai said. “I guess I’ll see you guys later.”
With that Mai walked into the distance towards the center of the island.
“Well, we better get a move on these locator cards.” Joey said.
“Yeah, as a matter of face, I think I’m going to go get some duels in.” Tea added, “If we all wait around and support one another we won’t get to the Finals in time.”
“You’re right, Tea.” Joey responded.
“But Tea” Yami said, “You haven’t dueled in a while, don’t you think that…”
“Yugi, I’ll be fine.” Tea said cutting him off.
With that all three friends walked in opposite directions hoping that their bond of friendship would get them through this mess that was set before them all.
“Yami, you scared little coward.” Silen said, “You think that your friends are so loyal to you. Well just wait, because in this tournament, your best of friends will become your worst of enemies in a matter of seconds.”
CHAPTER 12
Joey walker around the island and saw many duels occurring.
“Joey Wheeler, I’m about to destroy you.” a dark voice said.
Joey turned around and saw the person standing before him.
“Who are you?” Joey asked.
“My name is Shandra.” The girl said, “Let’s duel now!”
Shandra stood at about Joey’s height with long black hair down to her waist. She has very pale complexion and piercing blue eyes. She wore black leather pants with stiletto heels. Her shirt was a black tank top. She wore dark makeup around her eyes. This made it seem that her eyes were fiercer then they actually were.
“Alright, babe, we’ll duel.” Joey responded.
Joey=4000 Shandra=4000
“I’ll go first.” Shandra said. “I set two cards face down, and I summon the monster known as Vampire Orchis in attack mode!”
A Plant like creature with vampire fangs appeared on the field. Then suddenly another plant appeared on the field. This one looked like the first plant but it seemed to be rotting.
“Hey, how can you summon two monsters in one turn?” Joey asked in a frustrated tone.
“When I summon Vampire Orchis, I can special summon one Des Dendle from my hand.” Shandra explained. “That will end my turn.”
“Heh, your Vampire plant is goin’ down!” Joey said, “I summon Gearfried the Iron Knight in attack mode!”
An armored warrior with a steel blade coming out of his hand appeared on the field.
“Now, my Gearfried, attack her Vampire Orchis!” Joey ordered.
“Silly boy, I activate my trap card, Formation Union!” Shandra said.
Vampire Orchis and Des Dendle appeared to form into one larger plant creature.
“Well its attack points didn’t go up any, so Gearfried can still take it down!” Joey said.
Gearfried charged at Vampire Orchis and sliced through it.
Joey=4000 Shandra=3900
Suddenly the Vampire Orchis returned to its original state and reformed.
“What is going on?!” Joey yelled.
“Joey, you’ve got a thing or two to learn about Union monsters.” Shandra said. “My trap card equipped my union monster, Des Dendle onto my Vampire Orchis. When a monster equipped with a union would be destroyed the union is destroyed instead. Some Unions give the equipped monsters special effects.”
“Well, as long as your Life Points keep decreasing, I don’t care how much you Union.” Joey said. “I set one card face down, and I end my turn.”
“Good, I’ll begin mine.” Shandra said. “I activate the Magic card, Frontline Base. Nest I will normal summon Dark Blade.”
A Dark Warrior holding a large sword appeared on the field.
“Now I will special summon, Pitch Dark Dragon.” Shandra said.
An all black dragon appeared on the field and let loose an earthshaking roar.
“What is going on!” Joey yelled out.
“My Continuous magic card, Frontline Base allows for me to Special Summon one 4 star or less Union monster from my hand every turn.” Shandra explained. “Now the fun begins. I will equip my Pitch Dark Dragon to my Dark Blade.”
Suddenly the Dark Blade jumped onto the Pitch Dark Dragon and its attack increased from 1800 to 2200.
“It’s attack just increased by 400.” Joey said.
“How perceptive of you, Joey” Shandra said. “When pitch Dark Dragon equips onto Dark Blade it gives my Dark Blade a 400 attack point power boost. Now go, Dark Blade, attack Joey’s Gearfried!”
The Dark Blade soared on Pitch Dark Dragon’s back over to Gearfried and speared him through his chest with his sword.
Joey=3600 Shandra=3900
“Now, Vampire Orchis, Attack his Life Points Directly!” Shandra ordered.
The Vampire Orchis whipped Joey with its vines that dripped of blood.
Joey=1900 Shandra=3900
“I end my turn, Joey.” Shandra said.
“I have to win this. I can’t loose.” Joey thought to himself. “I draw one card, Shandra! I play the Monster Hyabusa Knight in attack Mode!”
A small falcon knight appeared on the field wielding twin blades.
“Next I play the Field Magic card, Gaia Power!”
A Huge Tree appeared in the center of the field.
“When Gaia Power is on the field all Earth monsters get a 500 attack point power boost.” Joey said.
“Well thanks for raising my Vampire Orchis’ attack to 2200.” Shandra taunted.
“Who said I was done.” Joey replied. “I activate the Magic card, Fusion Sword Murasame Blade!”
Both of Hyabusa Knight’s swords fused together and formed a massive sword that expelled a purple smoke.
“Between my Fusion Sword and Gaia Power, Hyabusa Knight’s attack strength skyrockets to 2300!” Joey said. “Now Hyabusa Knight, attack Dark Blade!”
Hyabusa Knight jumped up into the sky and slashed at Dark Blade.
Joey=1900 Shandra=3800
Dark Blade reformed and landed back on the ground.
“You forgot that my Dark Blade stays alive since it was equipped with Pitch Dark Dragon.” Shandra said.
“Well you must have forgotten that my Hyabusa Knight can attack twice in one turn!” Joey retorted. “Go, Hyabusa Knight, attack Dark Blade again!”
The Hyabusa Knight charged at the warrior and impaled him with its sword.
Joey=1900 Shandra=3300
“Now I’ll set one card face down, and end my turn.” Joey said.
“Fine, Joey, I’ll start mine.” Shandra said with an arrogant tone in her voice, “I set one monster in defense mode and I will switch my Vampire Orchis to defense mode as well. Now I set one card face down and I end my turn.”
“Heh, who’s running scared? Shandra is running scared.” Joey said in a musically taunting tone.
“Shut up and make your move, Wheeler.” Shandra said annoyed.
“Fine, I’ll take my turn to attack your Vampire Orchis as well as your face down monster!” Joey ordered.
Hyabusa Knight slashed through the Vampire Orchis as well as Shandra’s face down card which revealed it to be a small black cat with a long wavy purple tail and red eyes.
“You’ve attacked my Little Chimera.” Shandra said. “When this card is destroyed in battle I can special Summon one fire type monster form my deck with attack strength of 1500 or less to the field.”
Suddenly, an all red being appeared on the field.
“Say hello to Aitsu.” Shandra said.
“Bwahahaha!” Joey laughed hysterically at the monster. “It only has 100 attack points!”
“That’s true but the potential that it holds is far more painful.” Shandra replied.
“I’m sure.” Joey said wiping tears of laughter from his eyes. “I end my turn.”
“Good. Now, Joey, prepare to face the strongest duel monster in my deck!” Shandra said.
