Data of our lives ch 9
Almost a week had passed in silence; no Digimon had attacked, the Digidestined hadn't felt like they were being called to the Digiworld. . . They all had returned to their usual schedules, without worrying about such things until that Saturday.
That day was a beautiful one; the sky was a crystal blue and a soft, warm wind blew all around the short, brown haired female as Kari sat underneath a tree, relaxing after a long week at school. Her soft, shoulder length hair fluttered around her in the breeze. Gatomon had run ahead, to get some berries to snack on while they stayed in the world.
A few minutes later, the white cat returned, dragging a large, thick leaf behind her, covered in different colored and sized berries. "Kari?" she yelled, looking around for her partner, dropping the leaf onto the ground. "She said she'd stay here. . ." she muttered, looking around further. Suddenly she noticed the girl's purple D-3 on the ground and stepped towards it. "No!" Looking up, she blinked and yelled, "Kariiiiiiii!"
"Little Gatomon, do you want your partner?" a low, sultry sounding voice said, causing the cat to spiral around, looking for the owner of it.
"Who are you?!" she hissed, one paw held up in a defense position.
"Be nicer to me or I won't tell you where the Light child is. . . Just follow the light stream that should show up now. . ." Suddenly dark storm clouds covered the sky and everything around Gatomon turned a dark grey color and she could see a bright white strip of light leading away from the tree.
She stared at the shadow covered ground, eyeing the white energy, before picking up the D-3 and running as fast as she could along its path. After following it for nearly twenty minutes, the path angled off and she looked up, discovering a very badly kept mansion that had an omnious gloom about it. Every window seemed shady and covered in dirt. She eyed it distru<pojo ownz><pojo ownz><pojo ownz><pojo ownz>lly for a few minutes before continuing on to the door, which looked dirtier than the windows, perhaps because of its dark brown wood paneling. Suddenly, it opened inward with a loud squeeching sound and she paused long enough to grimace before reluctantly running into the mansion.
Dust covered every visible part of the inside hall, old, odd-looking furniture decorated it and numerous Digimon that seemed to be made out of a torn pillow case glared suspiciously at her, baring their large silver teeth, but made no move to attack her.
"Ignore the Bakemon and Phantomon," the voice from before said. "They aren't used to visitors. Go up the stairs at the end of the hallway. . . Your partner's waiting."
Gatomon stared from side to side, noticing there were also Digimon in silver-greyish rags with red capes and cloaks, holding a large golden scythe in their hands among the Bakemon, their blueish-green eyes staring at her from under the shadows cast upon them by their cloaks. Blinking her wide blue eyes, she stepped gingerly over the dirt-encrusted carpet that spread from the doorway up to the top of the stairs and climbed up said stairs as quickly as she could, feeling a little creepy from the eyes of the phantom Digimon staring intensely at her.
As soon as she was half way up the staircase, she fell on all fours and started dashing up, desperation to locating Kari over-riding the twinge of fear this place made her feel. She didn't notice anything but the warm feel of the D-3 in her paw until she reached the top of the stairs and met another door, which slid open almost immediately. Looking around suspiciously, she slowly entered the room, her eyes instantly falling on Kari tied up to the wall, thick rope coils hanging from her arms and legs.
"Good timing," a tall female Digimon dressed in black leather like material, with purple cloth covering parts of her arms and upper body that d***** down to her feet, with long claws and black wings, which Gatomon first noticed, slightly worried by the powers of this mega. "I am Lilithmon, the Transmute you must defeat today."
"Free Kari!" Gatomon hissed, holding her own claws up.
"No. . . See, that is your incentive for the match," Lilithmon said, twisting her face up into a gruesome sort of smile, raising her hands and blowing on her long nails thoughtfully. "So are you ready?"
"Yes!" Gatomon yelled, leaping at her, her right paw glowing with orangish energy.
--------
"Jason," Star started, sitting up out of a patch of tall flowers that managed to hide most of her thin body from view as she sat amongst them. "When I go back to Grandma West's, will you be ok?"
He looked over at her from where he stood and blinked as if trying to wake himself up. "Sure, Star, I'll be fine. Don't worry," he said finally.
She stood up and was just starting to move to him, weeding through the flowers, when suddenly a flashing light stopped her. "Wha--?" she asked before covering her eyes automatically, trying not to be blinded from the bright aqua light. When the light seemed to have subsided, she pulled her arms away and peeked, to find her brother still had his arms protectively over his own eyes and a pale looking humanoid was standing between them. "Who are you?!" It was obviously a Digimon, no human had green stripes like that on their face and arms, right?
At his sister's voice, Jason uncovered his eyes and just stared, somewhat speechless.
"Jason," MetalSeadramon Angel Mode started, ignoring Star. "I need to take you from here."
Jason gulped a little; he had met this Digimon once before just after his partner had been deleted and that meeting had freaked him out as well. There was an eery kind of calm about this Digimon that no matter what went wrong in life didn't seem to matter, that it would work out. Sometimes this was correct but the human avoided her as much as he could for this reason. "Where--" he paused and gulped a little, moistening his lips, before continuing. . . "Where do you think you're taking me?"
"You're not taking him anywhere!" Star exclaimed, suddenly thrusting her D-3 out towards Salamon, who was sitting in the flower patch, just watching this occur in shocked silence. "Digivolve!"
Salamon blinked as the warm glow enveloped him and his body grew. "Salamon Warp Digivolve to. . ." His body expanded a lot and was larger than MagnaAngemon by a great deal. Blue and silver scythes with gold print on it shot out of his wrists in place of hands and wild blue hair streamed out of a mask on his head. Large silver wings shot out of his shoulders and silver armor covered his shoulders as blue fabric dropped down his waist as the Digivolution ended. "SlashAngemon!" he yelled, hovering a little above ground, staring at MetalSeadramon Angel Mode. "You won't take Jason from his sister," he announced, slashing his arms through the air, the scythes just missing the guardian of the place once known as the Dark Ocean by inches.
She sighed and ran her hand along the folds of her cream dress, staring at SlashAngemon. "I do not wish to battle you."
"Well, you'll have to if you don't leave Jason alone!" Star yelled, her protectiveness of her brother over-riding her common sense. She had been too young to save her parents but this wouldn't end the same way. She swore it.
"Your loyalty is touching," MetalSeadramon Angel Mode said, stepping towards Star. "But I don't have time for this." A rod appeared in her hand and began glowing intensely almost immediately. "Yah! You shouldn't have messed with me, little girl. . ." Suddenly she leapt towards SlashAngemon and smashed the rod hard against his skull, sending him flying backwards.
"SlashAngemon!" Star gasped, stepping forward as the Mega angel struggled to regain his footing.
"I'm ok, Star, I can still stop her," he said, his eyes squinted in pain. "You're fast, guardian. . . but what would you be without the rod?! Heaven's ripper!" He flew at her this time, slashing wildly at any part of her he could reach; however every time he got close she would leap backwards all the faster, until finally he stopped and tried to recatch his breath.
"You will not stop me!" MetalSeadramon Angel Mode exclaimed, a bite of impatience in her tone and smacked him in the head with her rod again. This time, it cracked right through his mask and hit his unprotected skull, sending him flying backwards, directly into Star, knocking the two back into a tree, where both slumped, unconscious.
"Star!" Jason cried out, running to his sister's unmoving form. "What did you do that for?!" he gasped, glaring at MetalSeadramon venomously.
She sighed and the rod in her hand disappeared. "It wasn't to happen that way. If you come with me, you may bring her and I swear she and her Digimon and you will be fine."
Jason looked from his sister to this Digimon and back again before running his hands through his sister's soft black hair. "Fine, but you better keep your promise and heal her or I'll delete you myself."
MetalSeadramon Angel Mode almost felt like rolling her eyes while his back was turned to her. "Just come."
----
After a long afternoon, Tadahmon sat in semi-darkness, staring at the flashing computer screen in front of her thoughtfully. Ever since a week ago when she had sensed that the person who had deleted her was in the Digiworld and that Volcadramon had been deleted, she had been unable to sleep, just sitting in the body of the human for hours at a time, staring at the darkness until the human started to wake up or if her parents started calling for her.
Spikey watched her glaringly from the floor, partially hiding under the bed so the Digimon wouldn't throw things at her. Doing so had become a passtime of Tadahmon's when she was very, very angry. The small Digimon's eyes widened as Amy's D-3 floated into Tadahmon's hand. 'What is she doing?!'
Tadahmon smirked at it and hit the keyboard awkwardly, typing something that she had seen the human do only a few times. A small screen shot up on the monitor, causing Spikey to blink in horror. The Digimon grinned in amusement at the Digiport she had summoned and held the D-3 up in front of the screen. "Digiport open," she ordered in a smug voice. As she fell into the Digiworld, she grunted in slight pain after crashing into the ground at a quick speed, not used to the sudden fall. "Ouch. . ." she muttered, rubbing her back and rolling over onto her front at the same time. She then noticed she was staring at bare feet and looked up, eyes widening a little.
"Hello," MetalSeadramon Angel Mode said, staring thoughtfully down at the humanoid.
"Uh. Hello," she muttered, standing up quickly. She immediately began trying to straighten her hair up, which had become very messed up in the fall to this world.
"What's your name?" the angel guardian asked, an amused look on her striped face.
". . . Amy Williams."
"I see. Where is your Digimon partner?"
"I left her at home. . . She was sleeping when I left so I didn't see why I should wake her up." At this, the Digimon remembered seeing the purple beast's claw poking out from under the bed and smirked. She rather enjoyed scaring the younger Digimon. It helped pass the boring days easier.
MetalSeadramon Angel Mode laughed to herself. Though she usually kept a calm attitude about things, this digimon did amuse her.
"Why did you come here?" Jason asked 'Amy', cradling his little sister in his arms, Salamon sitting drowsily on the girl's chest, silently watching.
"I wanted to see something," she muttered, not trusting this person in the slightest.
"Like what?" he asked, surprised by her cold attitude.
"Who hangs out here, for one thing," she said, staring at him icily.
MetalSeadramon Angel Mode refrained from rolling her eyes and instead motioned to Jason to keep following her.
As they moved on, Tadahmon groaned. "What luck that I'd have to land at the feet of a guardian," she muttered.
-----
Lillithmon rolled her eyes and smacked at Gatomon, causing her to fly back, hissing wildly, the energy slowly fading from her paw. "Nazar nail!" She slashed rapidly at Gatomon as her claws glittered with dark energy, making her move even faster. Gatomon collapsed near the wall, slash marks all over her abdomen.
"G- Gatomon?" Kari weakly asked, looking up from her place against the wall, having revived slightly.
Lilithmon turned slightly at the sound of the girl's voice but then turned back to Gatomon. "Look, your partner is awake," she said in amusement. "Should I make her relaxed again?" She flexed her black claws again.
"Leave Kari alone!" the white cat yelled, leaping back until she was cornered against some black d*****. "Cat's eye hypnotism!" Her eyes flashed red and then a multicolored beam exploded from them and engulfed Lilithmon, who didn't have time to react and began feeling dizzy.
"What. . . the. . .--" she asked, her eyes drooping slightly as she swayed on her feet. Suddenly, in her confusion and having been hypnotized, she slashed her own claw at herself and gasped as a large gash formed in her shoulder, data streaming from it freely.
Gatomon twitched as the data stream, instead of disappearing like they expected, shot in front of her and then entered her. Immediately she glowed brightly. "Gatomon Digivolve to. . ." Her body grew into the one of a woman's, blonde hair streamed out behind her and white wings spread out behind her as white cloth scantily covered her and a purple ribbon surrounded her, a mask then covered her face from the nose up. Her tail ring moved to wrap around her leg and belt-like pieces of leather appeared around her stomach and upper left leg. "Angewomon!"
Lilithmon blinked and gripped her cut desperately, not wanting any more data to pour out. "What happened?!"
"Celestial arrow!" Angewomon snipped, not willing to waste any time talking. A golden arrow appeared in her hand and she readied to use her left arm as a bow, holding the arrow in it sturdily.
"Bakemon!" Lilithmon screamed, her voice shrilly echoing through the mansion, causing Kari to grimace, since she already felt sick. Suddenly a group of the demons appeared in front of her, circling her and snarling evilly at Angewomon.
Angewomon blinked at the champions and then over their short frames at Lilithmon, who was glowing in a purple light. "No! . . . They're just stalling so she can heal herself!" the angel realized, her lips set in an angry grimace. "Yah!" She abruptly released her arrow into the circle of Bakemon, deleting two of them. Flying forward, she dodged a few of the clawing ghosts and slashed her right hand at a couple of them that tried to overcome her and sent them flying into the wall, where they slumped down and remained, unconscious.
"Stop right there," Lilithmon grunted, slightly winded from the energy it took her to heal her shoulder, which she had just finished doing a second ago. "You wo- won't. . ." Taking a deep breath and relaxing, she stood up tall and glared menacingly at Angewomon. "Nazer nail!" she screamed, launching forward again, her nails glowing again.
This time Angewomon was ready for it and leapt away, but she wasn't ready for Lilithmon to suddenly turn and slash her across the chest. The surprise of the attack sent her slamming into the dusty floor, which creaked under her weight and suddenly-- fell apart and she was sent tumbling down through the broken floor, screaming.
Kari gasped and strained against her binds. "Angewomon! ANGEWOMON!"
"Now shut up!" Lilithmon yelled at her, a wild look in her eyes. Awkwardly snapping her fingers, the ropes around Kari's wrists and ankles loosened and fell in a heap on the floor.
"Wha-- what are you gonna do?" the Light child asked, looking up from where she had collapsed to her knees.
"Ugh," Lilithmon muttered, suddenly grabbing the girl by the arm and pulling her up to where her feet were dangling slightly off of the ground. "Now keep quiet and this'll go smoothly; it might be good if you didn't move too," she advised. Kari gulped and eyed her long claws as she wrapped her arms around the girl's shoulders and leapt down the hole in the floor that Angewomon had fallen into, the demoness keeping her claws eerily close to Kari's delicate throat.
-----------
Tadahmon watched, a little shakily, as the humans and Digimon walked on. When she had turned her back, she didn't notice as MetalSeadramon Angel Mode turned and stared at her, a slight smirk on her face. Returning to the Digiport, the Digimon held out the D-3 and returned to Earth silently, a thoughtful grimace on her face.
Spikey greeted her with a glare. "What did you do?!"
"Shut up, you squeally little Digimon." Groaning, the Digimon collapsed onto the soft purple sheets covering the human's bed and let the girl have control of her body again. Amy looked around in confusion as Tadahmon tried to decide if the guardian knew who she was. 'Well, ugh, she's a guardian, of course she knew,' the digimon thought, feeling ******ed for ever going into the Digiworld. 'Frick!' she thought as loud as possible, not noticing as her human twitched. 'I can't stay here, stuck with my own thoughts.' Angrily, she forced control on Amy, taking over her body yet again, and stormed out through the house, exiting it quickly and going for a walk.
Spikey groaned. "Geez. . . It's a wonder her parents never notice anything. . . Dumb people. . ." Sighing, she rushed after the Digimon, to watch out for her partner. "Wait!" she hissed, unable to catch up with Tadahmon's rapid steps.
"Quit following me," she muttered, an angry look in her greenish-blue eyes.
"No!" Spikey exclaimed, headbutting Tadahmon in the leg angrily, finally having caught up to her.
Tadahmon growled and suddenly a slash of data hit Spikey and sent her tumbling back into the street, groaning. "Leave me alone, you stupid-looking ball of spikes!"
"If-- if you weren't in control of Amy's body right now," the Digimon groaned, tears in her eyes, as she struggled to sit up. It was so crazy, it almost looked like her partner was attacking her but she knew it wasn't. . .
"What would you do?! Bite me to death?" Tadahmon demanded, looking at Spikey's sharp teeth, which were bared in agony.
"I. . . I'd delete you," she muttered.
The Digimon scoffed. "You little punk, I've already BEEN deleted." She suddenly moved and stood over Spikey, putting her right foot over Spikey, looking as if she was about to step on her.
"No. . ." the little purple creature groaned, trying to wiggle away.
"Are you scared, hmm?" Tadahmon laughed and suddenly stomped her foot down-- Spikey cringed in horror-- but then just inches from her, her foot stopped abruptly and just hung there. "What the?!"
"Amy!" Spikey yelled, standing up awkwardly on her paws. "Fight her!"
"How the-- How can this human fight me!? She doesn't even know about me!" Tadahmon hissed, the fire in her eyes diminishing slightly, replaced by utter horror.
"Yes," Spikey grunted, "she does. I told her."
"What?! When?!"
Spikey sighed. "I told her last night. The secret got too much for me. Now she knows and she'll fight you whenever she can. You don't have the power over her you had before."
"You little--!" she snarled, leaping at Spikey suddenly.
Spikey shook her head and dived back onto the grass, turning as Tadahmon slammed into the street and just sat there, dazed. "Baka. . ."
-----
Kari whimpered as they fell faster and faster towards the ground, her eyes closed in horror. 'Oh, don't let her drop me, don't let her drop me,' she thought.
"Kari!" Angewomon screamed, tackling Lilithmon as they neared the floor. After making sure Kari had fallen safely, the angel leapt back up and shot off an arrow at Lilithmon, which grazed her shoulder and then stabbed into the wall behind the demoness.
"You-- NAZER NAIL!" the demoness screamed, running towards Angewomon, her nails glistening. The angel flew out of the way but the black clothed female stalked her, nails slashing wildly. Angewomon looked back to see where Kari went but received a quick slash across the face and then another one in the chest, causing her to be winded and fall back, groaning.
"Celestial Arrow!" she snarled, slowly drawing another arrow and releasing it directly at Lilithmon's abdomen.
Lilithmon gasped and tried to jump away but she was still weakened from healing herself and was too slow; the arrow stabbed through her side. "Ugh!" she gasped, falling to her knees and then slamming to the ground painfully.
Angewomon stood over her. "Stand up," she ordered in a deadly voice. "I know you are still strong enough to do that much."
Groaning, the demoness stumbled up and struggled to stand, holding her side which was still impaled with the arrow. "You. . . Ugh. . ." She suddenly rushed towards Kari, who was standing now and watching this fight. "Nazerrrrrrrr naiiiiiiil!" she screamed, but then a blur of white intercepted her and they both crashed through a wall, which collapsed on top of them. "You bi--!" Lilithmon screamed, slashing Angewomon across the mask, almost slicing it in half, shocking the angel and making her fall back in surprise.
"No more," she snarled down to her opponent, who was pinned down by rubble from the wall. "Celestial Arrow!" Holding yet another glowing white arrow up to her wrist, she shot it directly into Lilithmon's abdomen.
"No!!!" Lilithmon sobbed and held a trembling hand over her waist, trying to get up the energy to heal herself but she was too weak and Angewomon watched grimly as the demoness exploded into a glowing data stream, which entered Kari's D-3 and upgraded it to one similar to Tai and Matt's except that this had extra buttons for her Armor Digivolutions.
Kari groaned as Angewomon helped her away from the wall. "Are you ok. . .?"
"Yes. . . Are you?"
"I'll be ok." She stared down at the new Digivice and sighed. "What's gonna happen next. . .?"
---------
Tadahmon groaned and pulled herself up off of the ground, looking up in time to see Spikey enter the Williams' house. "Ugh, weak little pathetic Digimon," she snarled, slamming her fists angrily against the ground, feeling the gravel cut into them. She noticed a shadow over her and looked up, staring up at a boy with reddish-brown hair. It was the neighbor boy she had noticed just about a week ago. 'Oh my God! What is he doing here?' she snarled.
"Hey! What are you doing sitting in the street?" he asked, walking up to her and blinking.
"I was having a tea party!" she snarled.
He blinked again. "Why would you have a tea party here. . .?"
She groaned and then released control over the body. Amy blinked and looked up at Davis. "Uh. . . hi. . .?"
Almost a week had passed in silence; no Digimon had attacked, the Digidestined hadn't felt like they were being called to the Digiworld. . . They all had returned to their usual schedules, without worrying about such things until that Saturday.

"Uh. . . hi. . .?"
