Any 1 here the news that they are planning to make 7 shreks? this is retarded. But, it will succeed if they try to unlike harry potter because by the time they start filming harry potter 7 the characters wil be almost 20-25 playing a 16 year olds character.

Two things:

1.) I think this belongs in Random Topic Center, although it does have a little relevance to Harry Potter. Meh...

2.) As long as Shrek stays funny, it will stay successful. There will obviously be a Shrek 3, because that last movie really didn't end. About Harry Potter, I don't think there's a really big difference between about 21 and 17. Sure, age-wise it's a big difference but appearance wise... You've got to remember, the big "change" (physically) is mainly around 13, 14, 15. Azkaban worked (as it's coming out,) and they're working on Goblet of Fire, no prob. The only question (in my opinion) is Order of the Phoenix. I think that if they act in book five, they'll act throughout the series. That's my two cents...

Nah, they won't be in their TWENTIES. It's only be 2 years after the second movie. maybe 18 or 19, but twenties I doubt. Besides we still haven't ruled out the fact that if they think they've gotten too old they'll simply recast them for younger actors ;)

Let's see. It dosen't matter about their age. Older actors play younger characters alot. For example;
Moaning Myrtyle was played by an actress from Bridget Jone's Diary.
One of the actors in Ferris Bueller's Day Off was 30 years old when his character was 17.
And don't get started on those dumb high school shows.
There's heaps I tell you. HEAPS!!!!!!!!!

Also, if they worry about Dan, Rupert and Emma they should worry about Tom Felton first. He's 4 years older than his character now. So the whole point about changing actors is stupid.

At a recent a press conference for DreamWorks' next CGI animated film Madagascar, DreamWorks' co-founder Jeffrey Katzenberg gave away a very full plot synopsis about what people should expect from the film scheduled to come out in May of 2007 and Coming Soon has the details:

"When 'Shrek 3' opens, Shrek and Fiona are having to take on the duties of being the active king and queen of Far, Far Away. When we left him, the King was quite literally croaking. They're not very comfortable in these roles, so the King says to them, "If you can find the heir to the throne and bring him back, the Kingdom will be in good hands, then you can return to swamp and live your lives." Which is what they want to do. Shrek, Donkey and Puss go to the far side of the Kingdom of Far, Far Away where young "Artie", who is the nephew of Queen Lilian, is about to graduate school.

Artie turns out to be young King Arthur and Shrek and Donkey and Puss have to convince this extremely rebellious young man, who's being voiced by Justin Timberlake, to come back and assume the throne. Along the way, Shrek invents the Round Table, chivalry. Donkey is the Lady in the Lake with the sword. You get it. Meanwhile, back at the Kingdom of Far, Far Away, Prince Charming decides that it's time for a coup d'etat. "The cat's away. He will play" So Fiona organizes all of the princesses into the underground Resistance movement, who are trying to hold things together until Shrek, Donkey, Puss and young King Arthur return."

I think sequels are being sort of overused. Who wants to see 7 Shreks? Most of the sequels made are almost exactly the same as the first one anyway. So it'd be like seeing Shrek 7 times in a row. Gets stupid after the 1st viewing. :D
