Ok lets say I have a Multi energy and a Fire energy on Rayquaza ex. The Multi Energy will provide a Lightning energy for Rayquaza's attack. NOW here is my question:

I've heard that if you use Dragon Storm, you can discard both energys as fire energy even though the Multi was originally a Lightning energy. Then you would do 80 damage. Is this true? Can you use the Multi energy both as a Lightning and Fire energy for the attack all at once?

You discard the Multi Energy regardless if you picked it to be another type. Multi, Rainbow, and Crystal Energies count as all energy colors/types at the same time, so if you have any of those on Rayquaza, they will be discarded once you use Dragon Storm.

The reason is, you are using it's one Energy "supply" to fill the Lighting requirement, but it still has all colors. You're not "choosing" and energy type for it, you're only choosing what energy requirement to fulfill.

And here's a twist: If you have two Multi Energy on Ray, neither get discarded!
Of course, they won't pay any of the energy cost either...
