Is anyone going to go to see this movie?
It looks interesting to me though. This movie's kinda like Shaolin Soccer mixed with some stupid Kung Fu parody which I can't think of the name of at the moment.

If it's from the same guy that did Shaolin Soccer, then I'm in. Now if every soccer movie was like Shaolin Soccer, then I would be a hardcore soccer fan.
So what's the plot based on? And what the story with Sidekick, cause he looks familiar, like from another Kung Fu movie. Then again, he also looks like a guy that I work with.

Stephen Chow directed and starred in Shaolin Soccer and to answer your question PhoenixMagnion, he also directed and starred in Kung Fu Hustle as well.
If I get a chance to I'm definitely going to see this movie. I also found out that Stephen Chow is a really big fan of Bruce Lee. Heck, I wouldn't mind seeing Stephen spar against Jackie Chan. :D

Is this that movie with the screaming, old lady and stuff? Cause if it is, I saw it in China last year (in the theatres), and all I can say is that anyone who sees it is going to come back dumber (unless you're a hotblooded Super Robot fan). Much dumber.

Steven Chow was great in SS.
This however, was pathetic. It may have been a big hit in asia. But as an asian, I am disgraced at this pathetic piece of trash. The whole thing was so cheesy and ******ed. From the start to the end.

Oh ye gods, I cannot properly describe my love of this movie. It took something as overblown and cliched as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and made it fun for... well... not the entire family, but definitly the older members of one, who can appreciate the fighting and the sheer absurdity of what's going on.
I just loved the part where the guy stepped on the bird when he was several miles in the air. That one moment just charactizes the entire movie for me.

Last time I checked, Kung Fu Hustle is now in theaters nationwide. As with Star Wars Episode III this year this movie is definitely worth the popcorn in my humble opinion.

i think this movie is a Dumb Funny movie and i like how it mix comedy and stupid fighting especially the ending fight, sometimes those things doesn't match for a kung fu movie, but this movie it does
at least this movie is better than Kung Pow because Kung Pow was just a Dumb movie

i personally think kung fu hustle is a great movie, it suggests a sequel but i dont think there will be one because steven chow always wants to be the main character (that fame hogger)

The limited collectors edition is pretty cool with the hand-print. But I liked the movie a lot, and watched it at least 3 times.

Kung Fu Hustle is funny. I like the part where Steven Chow is running away from that fat Kung Fu lady and then she crashes into that bill board (or something) and you see her bra and stuff flying in the air.
If you know me well enough you'll know how much I hate martial-art crap, BUT..
Kung Fu Hustle is AWESOME! I've seen the Chinese version of it with English subtitle. It was very funny but at the same time all the stuff in the film fitted in perfectly, unlike some of the other films.

i love the part where the hoboe says at the end,"you have the bones and structure of a kung fu genius. and i have the lost shaolin palm kung fu book. its price less but because its fate, i ll sell it to you for only 10 yen" then the child starts leaving and he says, "wait i have more!" and he take out like 10 of different kung-fu books!
for peple who didnt see movie-at the beginning, the hoboe does the same thing to steven chow, he accepts the 1 book. the child will probably accept 10. strongly suggests a sequel but steven wants to be main character so i think he might be an old man in the sequel and like drink a youth potion or something.

It was a breath of fresh air to the martial arts and comedy genres of films, because of it being so funny and somewhat different is what attracted people to it.
