Alright this is question my friend had for me, i didn't know so im asking here.

Lets say I put a contaminated bond on my friends creature(lets just say that creature is a eager cadet). On my friends turn he plays his own enchantment on that creature that gives him protection from black would damage still be dealt to my friend when he attacks with the enchated creature with contaminated bond?

D.E.B.T. is the easiest way to remember protection

D for damage
E for enchant
B for blocking
T for target

once a creature has protection from a color. That color cannot damage, enchant, block, or target a creature that has protection from that color.

so the enchant creature would simply be put into the graveyard once the creature it was enchanting got Pro Black.

and also, being dealt damage and losing life are not the same thing.
