Well since my tourney area shuns ocg players I was wondering if anyone out there actually had a tourney that allowed ocg cards. If so, where are you? :p

I am not sure, I saw one a dude using a japanese Reaper of the Cards... but since my TO is so stubborn about making everything fair, you can probably only use Japanese cards that have been released in the US....

I don't know. I don't play tournaments. I believe that they seperate OCG and TCG though.

"English god cards count as asian cards"

If the tourney is Upperdeck sanctioned then no you can't use OCG cards... wow big disappointment there  .

Non Upperdeck sanctioned tourneys obviously depend on the organizer but if you can find the right group of people your ready to go,I mean i've even seen people in small MTG tourneys with OCG cards like LE5 BMG in there binders.

As an OCG player playing a superior game to the TCG you have to get used to the lack of tourneys. Of course, for me in Tonbridge, there are no TCG tourneys either so I have have to stick to casual. Unless of course someone finds out about a tourney near Tonbridge...

"English god cards count as asian cards"

What a stupid clause. The god cards aren't even real cards anyway. You can't even play them in casual unless your opponent lets you, and then they must be sleeved to hide their alternate colored backs. Does it matter what country they come from?! @_@

They allow them in mine sometimes, normally for Character Tournaments and a few tourneys, but normally it is with English Cards. They are very strict with them though.

My non-santcioned Advanced allows OCG cards as long as they have been released in America.

The tourny I went to in Kobe allowed OCG cards. *chuckles* I just got back from a vacation in Japan, just in case you're wondering.

Nope... None at all. All the tourneys are UDE sanctioned so no OCG.

The player around here aren't big on it either. I used to play OCG because it was less expensive, and 2 years later I am still called "*** Kid"

here in Bloomington, IN, we have weekly unsanctioned tournys and the guys don't mind I use several OCG cards (namely Deck Destruction Virus, Dead Spirit Zoma, Controller of Dead Spirits - Puppetmaster and Curse of Vampire). but of course, I usually ask permission before the duel starts (even if it mean showing them what the cards are and explaining their effects) just to be on the safe side. it's for fun, so who cares right?
