Whats with Mechanical Monsters?

I was thinking, of YGO as I usually do, and a strange question came to me.

Whats with the "Big" (as i like to call it) Ultra's from the new sets? They are all mechanicized.

Horus- some sort of metallic silver chicken
Creator- some giant metal dude
Pheonix- gold metal bird
Ancient Gear Golem- a machine, so at least he has an excuse.

i just find it interesting that the Ultra's are taking on this appearance. Cybernetic revolution im sure will bring more of the same.

also interesting, armed dragon lv 7 is more natural, naked gearfreed is an unmachine. its just some food for thought.

do u think the trend of the big ultras looking like this is going to continue, or is it just set unity?

I never really payed attention to the Ultra Rares like that. Will the Revolution continue? I hope so, I like machines.

i just think its odd they're moving away from the organic.

I agree with you ^ I miss the organic, natural looking mons. This new age, machine, metallic, stuff is starting to get annoying. I think part of the problem is that so many people are impressed by shimmer and shine that they neglect the actual art of the card. They need to make Tier 1 cards with art like the Elemntal Spirits from The Lost Millennium. I would be all over that. ^_^
