View Full Version : Were finally getting Jirachi, Will he be in your line up.
I was reading my nintendo power yesterday and it says that if you reserve collesium we will get a bonus disk and if u connect your gba and gc u can transfer jirachi to your ruby or silver. HOW COOL IS THAT!

It would be the uber cool, except I don't have a Gamecube. :p

You mean Ruby or Sapphire
Spiritual Rain
01-28-2004, 10:47 AM
The info was released a long time ago... but whatever.
Yeah... Ruby and Silver? ;)
He won't be in my team, because I don't really like using Legendaries.
I'll probably raise it, though.

the moves he comes with are Serene Grace an exclusive move and Doom Desire which is a move you cant find anywhere else.
It was from nintendo Powers.

Jirachi has Doom Desire!?
Now I DO want him. :(
Absol
01-28-2004, 11:59 AM
Serene Grace is his ABILITY!
you at least need to get a friend with it... it also uploads some data into your game so your berries wont stop growing and other time related things wont stop after about a year of playing...
Kuiper

He'll probably replace my Chimecho, though I guess with Blissey I won't need either of them.

I got my Jirachi yesterday, and he seems to be a pretty cool little guy. Also, it's not like I threw down 50 bucks to get him. Just $5 to reserve and get the disk. WHEE! GO JIRACHI!

Seems as if sneeky Nintendo created a fail safe for our games to cure a problem that plagued the Japanese games already, and to make it seem not really like a patch, they call Jirachi's extra special blessing. Clever, clever... ;)

Those crazy corperate maniacs! Just imagine how much money they've gotten off those reserves for Collessium. . .

Well, I was looking in the store yesterday and it's TRUE!!! Jirachi will be on a bonus disk and does anyone know if the bonus disk contains a DEMO? Along, with does the game have mini-games? And can Jirachi be downloaded on two files (I have a little brother)? Answer my questions please.
Betelgeux
02-01-2004, 12:46 PM
I'm pretty sure the demo disk contains a demo, but I'm not sure about your other questions.
I very seldom use legendary Pokémon on my team, but Jirachi is a little different... it's Steel-type (one of my favorites) and it looks pretty cool, so I might just use it.

there just jerks for not carign and using a cheap battery which should have affects like this after more like 10 years and not 1 year of playing a new game and expecially since its GBA
Absol
02-01-2004, 02:18 PM
it isnt the battery... its the programming error...
if it was the battery, how could hooking up your GBA to your gamecube and putting a disc in recharge it?
Venusaur1
02-01-2004, 02:45 PM
ok well the eternal clock malfunctioned
Michuru81
02-01-2004, 02:50 PM
I'm not a very big fan of legendary stuff, and I'm lame and only train water and dark types. Thus, once I have my bonus disc, Jirachi gets to sit in a box with the Lati@s kids, Rayquaza, Kyogre, Metang, and the Regis.
I'll be he can't wait.
Venusaur1
02-01-2004, 02:52 PM
thats kinda what ido but i like grass types
Michuru81
02-01-2004, 03:14 PM
That's the way my brother is. He likes grass and fighting. Since I stick to water/dark, he's the bane of my existance. :(
Human_Typhoon39
02-01-2004, 07:35 PM
It doesn't have a demo on it, just 2 movies (one for the preview of Colosseum, one for the Jirachi Wishmaker Movie) and then the Jirachi program itself...
Betelgeux
02-01-2004, 07:48 PM
Oh... in that case, a visual demo, but no hands-on freebies.
Maikou
02-02-2004, 05:53 PM
So basically, all of us who don't own gamecubes (me :p ), don't wish to spend extra money on preordering, or just really don't care about getting Jirachi will all have to suffer a MAJOR programming error in RU/SA. I see a flaw in their plan...
Shining Celebi
02-02-2004, 06:01 PM
It's still possible for an AR code to exist, and surely someone could rip the CD and then we could download it back into the game with a cheat device...
Venusaur1
02-07-2004, 06:29 PM
what do you mean
Absol
02-07-2004, 06:37 PM
you can download data from the internet to your AR...I'm not sure how easy it would be to find if someone did make a rip of the cd...
Venusaur1
02-07-2004, 08:16 PM
yeh from code junkies

02-07-2004, 08:40 PM

Venusaur1
02-07-2004, 08:43 PM
pre-ordered it?
Betelgeux
02-07-2004, 09:09 PM
If someone rips they CD, they'll probably become very popular....
however illegal they might be...
Venusaur1
02-07-2004, 09:13 PM
what do you guys mean by "rip" the cd
Absol
02-07-2004, 09:26 PM
copy the stuff from the cd to a file that can be downloaded onto an AR into the game...
Venusaur1
02-07-2004, 11:21 PM
so then there would be a way to get jirachi for free
Betelgeux
02-07-2004, 11:23 PM
Yes, which is why it's illegal to rip CD's. Copyrights and all.

There are lots of more experienced players who use übers...
still shows less skill than using regular Pokémon however. :\

having dumb roles doesnt mean you have more skills

true, having them (roles) doesnt mean you know the correct way to use them... skill is using them correctly...

I know. There's this idiot I know who always Calm Minds six times, even though almost any pokemon you'd use Calm Mind on maxes after four, and some max out after three. And what kind of idiot leaves his Skarmory in front of a Blaziken?

02-09-2004, 09:50 PM
if they want to try the Brightpowder HAX and than get the Drill Peck Critical Hit HAX to OHKO...

true, having them (roles) doesnt mean you know the correct way to use them... skill is using them correctly...
Yes, but if a player doesn't use anything but übers, they're probably not as skilled at the game as people who are willing to take the time and effort to raise "weaker" Pokémon.
Venusaur1
02-10-2004, 01:45 PM
i raise alot of "weaker" pokemon
Lost Digi Girl

I like to use pokemon I like. I don't completely care if it's special or boring. As long as it can help get the job done(right now, that is finding my way through Victory road without a book or flash).
As for Jirachi, I'm hopefully getting it this weekend, when i can use my brother's gamecube and disk, and then i think it'll go into the group I am starting to train, all based off of digimon in my RPG(evenutually i need to grow up, but until then, pokemon and digimon are cool.)
King Politoed
02-11-2004, 02:05 AM
heh, are you gonna nickname your pokemon with digimon names?
Venusaur1
02-11-2004, 01:43 PM
the only reason why idont want jirachi because it will get boosted expirence points
Absol
02-11-2004, 03:28 PM
what's wrong with boosted experience? it will only take 66% of the time to train to level 100...
Venusaur1
02-11-2004, 03:41 PM
i am well capable of training my pokemon normally
Absol
02-11-2004, 03:47 PM
but still, there isnt anything wrong with getting it done faster so you can trade others... and how do you know that it will be like it was traded?
Venusaur1
02-11-2004, 03:50 PM
because u trade it fro mcollessiumto ur version
Absol
02-11-2004, 03:55 PM
not colliseum, it is uploaded from the disc... as I dont own a gamecube, I wouldnt know... does anyone who got the disc know?
Venusaur1
02-11-2004, 04:25 PM
it gets uploaded to your pokemon collessium then you "trade" it to Ru/Sa
AshFan
02-12-2004, 07:23 AM
I'm going to preorder Pokemon Colosseum and I'll get the bonus disk so I can get Jirachi!
Betelgeux
02-12-2004, 07:26 AM
I preordered it about a week ago and they said the disks are going to be in today or tomorrow. I have a friend who already got Jirachi though (the store he reserved Colosseum at got the disks early)... he didn't seem very excited about it, but that may have been because he told me during English.
If you get the opportunity to train it with boosted EXP the whole process goes a lot faster... sounds okay to me.
Venusaur1
02-12-2004, 01:36 PM
yeah it goes faster which makes no sense to me on why they would even add extra exp points to a traded pokemon. Its as if they want you to trade which is probably accurate so you will buy both games and trade all the pokemon in one to complete your pokedex
