Anyone else see this card? I think if UD released this, Zombie decks would see even more play.

Curse of Vampire
Dark/Zombie/6/2000/800
When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard as a result
of Battle, by paying 500 Life Points, during the next turn's
Standby Phase, this card is Special Summoned to your Field. If
this card is successfully Special Summoned by this effect,
increase its attack strength by 500.

I first saw this in Yugioh R, used by one of Tenma's duelists against Yugi. This cards is also in Limited Edition 7 packs in Japan. It's only battle though, so it's kind of opposite of Vamp Lord with no deck destruction effect. I would use it in my Zombies. What do you guys think about it?

I think it be safe to say for everyone that we've been seeing/hearing a lot about Curse of Vampire lately in this forum.

It was used by Tilla Mook which to me personally made it a 100% must have from the very beginning and after buying 3 and using them i'd have to say its a very nice card, being able to destroy Berserk gorillas and Blade knights etc and then return stronger is always nice. Also not only is it searchable by Pyramid turtle its also searchable by Goblin zombie, another cool undead card.

I finally got a Curse of Vampire, but I have a question about it's effect. Since you have used it already, I'm hoping maybe you can answer this. The way COV is worded, it sounds like he only comes back as 2500 each time he's reborn from being destroyed in battle. Is that right, or does it continuosly gain 500 attack each time it's destroyed, including the previous 500s it gained. (2000, 2500, 3000, 3500... or 2000, 2500, 2500, 2500...)

Problem with Curse is that it must be destroyed by battle in order to be eligible to come back. Chances are much greater that it will get killed by an effect or RFG'd by a DDWL or DDA. Even if something like a Gorilla does mow it down, when it comes back, it's unlikely that most people have a 2500+ ATK monster to get it with, so then removal by an effect is practically guaranteed.

It's not terrible; it's just that both V-Lord and Kokki are better.

It would go in my self-revival deck [sig (vet's forum)] but I know it would definitely see play in Zombie. It's searchable by Pyramid, has the characteristic self-revival, and gains attack. What more could you want?

No one answered this...I can't beilieve it. Curse of Vampire's atk boost doesnt stack. He will always come back 2500

Duzell is right,If it goes to the graveyard after being destroyed in battle as a 2500 attacker it would reset and revive as a 2500 attacker again.

I personally prefer it to Dragon bone orge as its revival effect is not only handy but can combo with other cards, plus like I mentioned before its a Tilla Mook card and its searchable by Goblin zombie...the speed a deck has with 3 Pyramid turtles and 3 Goblin zombies etc...

It would be good in a Zombie deck with V. Lord.

The revival effect is okay.. its most likely not going to happen though, it can still take out those 2000 atkers, plus you can use them in DEF as a wall making your opponent think if they really want to Attack it.

i wouldnt use it, if vlord is gonna be restricted again, i might since it is the second 'reborn' zombie.

he's okay. but since he can only be reborned if he is destroyed by battle, he won't always come back. but he is still a nice wall (but no wall is better than spirit reaper and marshmellow!). but he is very searchable wich is a big plus. 2500 ATK is nice too!

Well noone mentioned another cool thing about Curse of Vampire, it's art. Curse has awesome art and everyone loves Vampires!

V-Lord is still cooler but Curse comes in a close second to him on the
bishi count. :p

That castle gate card from LE7 is a great wall. (0/2400, rock, LV6, can't be destroyed in battle, plus while in attack mode you may offer 1 monster per turn to do direct damage eqaul to it's attack) It can't be destroyed in battle, and even with skill drain it has a respectable 2400, plus it can summoned easily by giant rat, or last will, and it can be used with megarock dragon for a 1 turn kill. It came out with Curse of Vampire in the same pack. Honestly, if Curse wasn't so cool looking, I'd say this was the best card in the set.

that was really off topic and uncalled for. This isnt a LE7 topic. its CURSE OF VAMPIRE.

Anyway, I like using Curse with Patrician of Darkness (Nobleman Du Noir) that was he can come back easier, maybe protect Vampire Lord from an attack ala Du Noir.
