Mew, Celebi, Deoxys, Jirachi

Has anyone acquired the extra Pokémon "legally"? Sharking games is often the only way to get them, but I was wondering if anyone had recieved one at a Nintendo-sponsored event or the like.

I understand Deoxys is not yet available in this way, but still...

My friend obtained Jiraichi through hatching a bad egg. He got the bad egg after he caught a Missingno. It sounds hard to believe but afterwards his game started getting glitchy. The Bad Egg hatched, returned to his PC and left a Jiraichi in his party. He didn't know what it was though and it died while he tried training it, when he went to check his party top revive it it was gone. Now the Bad Egg won't hatch again. Plus it takes about a million steps to hatch.

What you just said about Jirachi cant be true. Missingno isnt in the R/S games i dont think.

I have sharked shiny Mew and Celebii. The closest the nintendo things come to me is NYC and that is 3 hours away. I wish they would come to Albany. Its the freaking capital of NY and it doesnt get anything and NYC gets everything. Curse NYC!!

Well I heard missingno. is in r/s, although I have never seen it for myself. Pokemon Center doen't look like it is giving out jirachi, or deoxys( by the way it's 1 hour away from me :D ) You can get jirachi by pre-ordering Pokemon Colleseum.

I got two of the mews legally for red and blue.

You get a disc when you preorder Colleseum. you need a Cube/GBA/GBA GC link cable.

hook the two up, download jirachi.

I didn't believe it either at first but I think that the Missingno and Bad Egg must've done something to his game.

We decided to investigate what else happened to his game.
-Discovered his party had Pokerus, though he didn't know what it was till I told him.
-He had a Lansat Berry in his Bag.
-He had an Eon ticket in his bag, though in no way does it work.
-Sometimes random Japanese letters appear in his game.
-It freezes up a lot.
-He doesn't have Shark or AR.

It doesn't matter if you don't believe me I'm just reporting what I saw myself in his game.

I didn't realize Nintendo-sponsored events were so uncommon offline... which makes me wonder why the bother some times, by the time they begin most people will have already recieved the Pokémon through trades/sharking.

The duplicate glitch is copying pokemon through trading. I did that with my mews also.

i caught mew in my yellow version with a normal code not cheatign with shark or replay. and to get jirachi pre order colessium they are giving out jirachi for a "small blessing for your berry gardens" to fix the "Berry Glitch" which occures exactly a year r/s has been released so March 17th

I havn't got any of the unnobtainable pokemon legitimately. I caught a few mews with the Mew glitch and a Gameshark got my Celebi.

You get a legal mew by going to a nintendo event. There's only been one nintendo thing in my area in the whole history of pokemon, and I live near boston, lots of other people live here, they should have more events.

the glitch is a cheat to some, but it doesnt involve a cheating device, so other people are ok with it...

anyways, there is a forum for RBY if you want to talk about whether the mew glitch is a cheat or is a legal way to get it...

my brother got a Mew from one of the UK tours, before wed even heard of G/S, and we used the trade-clone cheat to give one to all our friends (and me, as i was the only one who could do it :D ) but he decided that he wanted 6, so that he could have a whole party of Mews, with all the types of move being represented :confused:

Well, you need tickets to get to all the islands, but Deoxys Island has its very own "special" ticket... ...Maybe that ticket isn't available in the game.

But I believe that you don't need a special ticket to get to the Deoxys island; that it's in the game, I mean. I'll check...whenever I get there.

they will probably make another promotion in the US even if the Japanese gets it ingame... Japan got Mew and Celebi in the game, but US had to go to promotions to get both legally... I think that NOA hates America...

Some one I met before said that his friend got Jirachi in ruby and Deoxys in sapphire by getting launched into space in the space center when he filled his trainercard. Then Prof. Birch told him to go to the space center and he went to the moon and fought jirachi/deoxys and caught it... I really think he lied but anyway has anyone ever heard of this?

Not sure of Mew, but Celebi was in the Japanese game. You had to catch all of the Legendary dogs, beat the elite four. Then you got a GS ball, which you placed in the shrine in Ilex forest (you can shark the GS ball into the crystal version). Celebi came flying down at you, at level 30 i believe.

I believe there were 2 tours, about 4 years ago (When one came to my city, it was my birthday...why does everything seem to happen near my birthday...pokemon tours, ruby/sapphire, first day of spring, the begining of the war on Iraq(on my 18 birthday too)

ANyway, at the second one, they gave away free mews, with certificates with the number. The mews had a different trainer name/id number, stated on the certificate. So that made it offical.

I don't think that I'm going to reserve Colosseum just so that I can get Jirachi. I don't even think I'll buy Colosseum. The PS & PS2 games really sucked if you ask me, and were not worth the money.

I've heard that somewhere too, I think you have to get all of the stars on your trainer card. (fill Pokedex, get all levels of Poke Contests with all types, Elite Four, something else)

I have a legal Celery on my Japanese Sapphire.

I have 30+ Jirachis and no legal Deoxys amongst my english copies of the games.
