The Darkness within

"No....this...this cannot be", Anthony said in awe. He was looking at himself dueling again. Just like in his dream.
"You understand don't you? If not on a concious level then definitely inside. I can feel that much.", Dartz said arrogantly.
"I know one thing for sure Dartz. This is no coincidence what i'm seeing"
After that word Dartz said a strange chant and the "Movie" in the sky disappeared. Moments after the air beneath them rose up resembling a sort of black mist and the Anthony in the duel appeared.
Looking at the two it was hard to tell one from the other that much was for sure. If it weren't for the clothes difference they would be exactly the same. The "other" Anthony wore a dark crimson robe with a hood covering his head.
"I know you know who I am don't you?, The other Anthony said, "I am the part of you that was born through Dartz's magic. It is indeed true that the duel you saw in your dream was both real and at the same time fake. I cannot yet take true form and rise out until I win this body."
"And I guess that means you want to duel right", Anthony said annoyed.
"You catch on quick. This will be an interesting duel indeed", The Dark Anthony admitted.
"Why? Wouldn't this mean we have the same cards in our deck? I would think this would be a lame duel."
"Well I suppose, but Master Dartz and enlightened me with a nice arsenal of new cards. Now are we through talking or shall we duel?"
"Fine. Let's just get this over with", Anthony said and turned on his duel disk.

D. Anthony: 4000 Anthony: 4000

"Since your the host i'll let you go first", D. Anthony said smiling.
"Whatever. I'll draw a card and summon my Soul Tiger (0/2100) in defense mode. That'll end my turn"
"Interesting...i'll draw and summon my Arsenal Insect (1000/1200) in defense mode!"
The Dark Anthony slapped his card on the duel disk and a small metallic bug appeared on the field.
"Your defenses will prove to be your undoing with this card. I'll set a card f/d and end my turn".
Anthony looked at him wondering what his strategy was and drew his card, "Now i'll summon my Archfiend Soldier (1900/1500)"
Anthony smiled as the ground opened and a horned demon came out and unleashed it's sword.
"Now Archfiend Soldier rise up and destroy the Arsenal Insect!"
At it's master's call the demon leaped into action. The small machine did little to fight back as it was easily slain. Anthony looked on in satisfaction until he saw the bug's decayed broken body attaching to his demon.
"Oh did I forget to mention? When my monster is destroyed it makes sure it goes out with a bang. A 1000 attack point lowering bang to be exact", D. Anthony said laughing.
Anthony gasped and shielded his face as the Machine exploded. After the explosion the Archfiend was kneeling on the floor. It's arm was completely gone and a portion of it's shoulder.
"Oh no my monster. You'll pay for that. End Turn"
The D. Anthony smiled, "Fine then i'll draw and summon my Warrior Dai Grepher (1700/1600) in attack mode! Now Warrior destroy the Archfiend Soldier!"
Anthony winced as his weakened demon was slashed by the mighty warrior.

"Your one step closer to defeat. End my turn."
Anthony gritted his teeth and drew, "I won't lose to you! Even if you are a part of me it's a part I won't let take control! I know very well the consequences of this duel. And I can't let you win! Now i'll summon Homunculus the Alchemic Being (1800/1600)"
D. Anthony smiled amused as the monster appeared on the field, "Interesting choice, Homunculus can change it's type can it not?"
"Yeah that's right but it doesn't really mean much to me now. The only thing that you should be concerned with is your monster's destruction! Now Homunculus destroy his Warrior!"
At his controller's command the strange creature rose up. His arm morphed into a giant fist and stretched over to the warrior and squeezed him until the monster was destroyed.

"Finally i'll set a card facedown and end my turn".
Without thinking the Dark Anthony picked a card from his deck and fanned out his hand, "I think it's about time I stopped playing around with you", he said silently.
"Don't give me that psycho babble", Anthony said confidently.
"Oh this is no babble. This is merely the truth about your being. You have been hiding from it but now it is time for you to face it head on."
D. Anthony then showed Anthony the card he had just drawn causing him to gasp.
"No...not that....Don't play that card!"
"Yes....this card....the one card that can truly show you how you really are inside. The one card that will win me this duel"
Anthony looked at his adversary with shock as he opened his field card slot and placed the card into it.
"No....the Seal of Orichalcos!!!", Anthony spoke fearfully as the dark green seal appeared on the field and circled them as a ring of light incased the D. Anthony.
D. Anthony screamed out as the seal overflowed inside of him and the insignia appeared on his forehead and the crimson tone appeared in his eyes.
"Do you see it now? This is who you really are. This is who you were meant to be. Your little dragon would tell the story for you..", D. Anthony said with a gleam.
Anthony looked into his hand. His legendary dragon glowed a crystal light.
"No...this isn't true! I'm not like you, your just a creation of Dartz!"
"We shall see Anthony we shall see. Until then I will activate the card Spell Absorption! This card will grant me 500 life points every time a spell card is activated! Then I shall summon my ultimate monster The Mystic Swordsman Lv.2 (900/0) in attack mode!"
Anthony looked at the new creature with disbelief, "I can't believe this is your ultimate monster? This card is weak".
D. Anthony smiled, "I was thinking the same thing my friend, so I think I will activate this card Level Up!"
Anhtony gasped, "Oh no not that card"
"Yes this card. This allows me to upgrade my swordsman. As well as grant me an extra 500 life points because of my Spell card. So come to the field Mystic Swordsman Lv.4! (2400/1600). Not so small now huh?"

"Now my swordsman attack his Homunculus with your blinding sword slash!!"
At D. Anthony's call The robed swordsman jumped into the air and slashed the Being in a triangle shape with his double swords.

"I suppose it's your turn now Anthony. And when i'm done with you i'll take control of your body and use it for myself!"
"Hmph i'll never let you win my body", Anthony spoke as he drew a card from his deck.
Anthony looked down at his hand thinking. He didn't want to risk attacking his opponent's monster. And he couldn't allow him to gain any more life points. Luckly Anthony had the card for the job...
"Fine! I'll set a monster facedown and end my turn"
D. Anthony laughed, "You've played right into my hands. Mystic Swordsman attack his facedown monster now!"
Anthony smiled at the monster laid down his swords into his facedown card revealing a small machine.
"Why thanks, you've attacked my Fiber Jar (500/500) which will refresh our decks and..."
"And nothing, it appears you have forgotten the powers of my Swordsman. When this card attacks a facedown monster it is destroyed immediately without it's effect being activated."
"No....this cannot be", Anthony spoke shocked.
"Oh yes trust me it can. But it just gets better, when my monster destroys a facedown monster it can upgrade into a monster that will completely destroy you. Now i'll end my turn so my Mystic Swordsman can now become the Mystic Swordsman Lv. 6 (2800/1700)."
Anthony looked in shock as a dark purple aura covered D. Anthony's monster causing it to become taller. It's white robe and dark blue underclothes flicked in the wind and the hurricane of energy passed revealing the monster. It held up it's sword which glowed a multicolored tint as the Orichalcos Seal appeared on it's forehead and the familiar crimson tint appeared in it's eyes as an evil grin shown on it's face.
"This is it Anthony, i'm tired of playing games with you. The end is drawing near and the shadows are growing very close indeed. It's time for me to put an end to this duel!"

Yugi walked over to the lifeless Anthony.
Joey spoke, "Yugi this is pretty strange. I mean, how can you just collapse onto the floor for no reason?"
Yugi shook his head concerned, "Not sure Joey. Maybe my Millenium Puzzle can show us."
At these words Yugi's puzzle glowed a golden aura and Yugi and Yami felt themselves purging inside of Anthony's mind.
"This is really strange Pharoah. It looks like Anthony's mind is completely covered with darkness. I can barely see anything."
"Yes", Yami answered, "Whatever is going on in Anthony's mind he is completely covered with a deep dark energy...an energy I have only sensed from..."
"The Seal of Orichalcos", Yugi agreed, "I think we better hurry up and find him before it's too late."
Yami then nodded as the two went even further into Anthony's mind.
