question about banned card

Is there are banned card in M:TG? I Heard that dream hall was but do there are others?

yes there are a ton of banned and restricted cards...

though this is only for sanctioned and format tournaments

unless you are really getting a ton of complaints about some card you happen to use people usually don't care what you use when you are just playing casual which is what most of the people who play magic do

also don't get carried away with this and start playing newbies for ante this just makes a lot of people mad at you.

also there is a way of playing called overkill where the winner gets to keep certains cards depending on how much extra damage beyond lethal damage to a player. no one plays this way anymore with all the win conditions out and infinite combos. it's just not as fun as it used to be.

I ask this question because i wanted that information because i want to compare each game because i dislike yugioh for suddetly banning ten card. So i do my little research...

ahh yes. playing for ante, i remember playing using those types of cards.

and dark. here is the restricted list. they only restricted cards because with them, the game would be compleatly out of controll. but out of 2000+ cards, only about 50 in total are restricted http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=judge/resources/banned
