Opinions Sought - Fireshrieker

So what is everyone's opinion of Fireshrieker? I happen to like it, and its done rather well for me, but many people that see it just seem to laugh at it, or can't believe someone is playing it.

Does it suck that badly? If you think so, then why?

Getting a Double Striking creature through unblocked (Or with Trample.) can be amazing. So why does so many people think so lowly of Fire Shrieker?

it is overcosted at (3) to play and (3) to use...

plus it's not really a game breaker it has potential on things like specters and stuff but...

it also doesn't give a + to either power or toughness, for this much to even use it there are better things you can do for (6)

and usually with something like that it makes whatever it's on a big target and usually will die very quickly without using some other equipment like whispersilk cloak

which it too is also overlooked by lightning greaves because again it just costs so much to use it effectively

and if you happen to get something you may want on the creature

you have to play that enchantment or equipment use the equip cost to move the cloak off pay the other equip to move it on then pay the cloaks equip to move it on again all at sorcery speed this is just not worth putting up with if you have a card like lightning greaves that moves around for free.

that is basiaclly the reason why no one uses it. because there is a better choice if it were the only equipment every I bet would use them.

also if you don't get why vulshock morning star is kinda sucky too is because compared to empyrial plate which uses all the same costs it is crap.

Fireshrieker is good but too slow.
If it instead said "Equipped creature gets Double-Strike, +1/+0, is black and has Trample, it would be good.
