Nobody knows because the poor guy couldn't count at a young age and he was born on another planet. It's indeterminate. However the estimates go as so...

Begining of DB:about 11
End: about 18
Begining of DBZ: about 23
End: about 45 but this is so screwed with RoSaT and dead time that it's really impossible to know.

Oh, and the other characters, I'll just give you the begining of DBZ and you can do the math. Kuririn: 24 Bulma:28 Yamucha: approximately Bulma's age
Roushi: Somewhere in the 300's Karin: somewhere in the 800's Gohan: 4 Piccolo(jr):8

Er...that's all I can think of right now for determinable.

Goku is 46-47yrs old at the very end of DBZ(when he flies off with Uub). This doesnt count the time he spent in the RoSaT as very little time passed in the real world when he was in there.

Hmm....46? I have 45. Gohan was born when Gokuh was about 19. Gohan was 16 during the Buu saga. That's 35 then....plus 10 after that I get 45.

02-05-2005, 10:26 AM
He was 14 at the begining of DB and I always thought he was 46 at the end of DBZ and the 64 at the end of GT.

02-05-2005, 10:30 AM
ummmm? 14 at the start of DB? i dont think so not only does he not look at all like 14 (Bulma looks like 16) but when he first enters the WMAT he says he is 12

Mr. Announcer

He said he was 14 because he couldn't count. He later said he was 12 at the world tournament because Roushi actually schooled him a little in math.

And how could he be 64 at the end of GT? GT only took place 10 years after Z. That would put him in his mid fifties.

oh and brndfrtg (srry if i spelled that wrong) i know this has nothing to do with the topic but your little prince face switchy thing really creeps me out lol

02-05-2005, 10:34 AM
yah i have to agree with Mr announcer. im not so sure about the GT thing cuz i dont whatch it but what he said seems more or less accurate

02-05-2005, 12:10 PM
For all i know - Goku could have been 10 or even 9 at the start of DB....like, how would he have known many years passed from the time Son Gohan found/adopted him up to when he meets Bulma the first time? i'm sure he didn't keep track...

And for Vegeta - he's supposably five years older than Goku...if i'm not mistaken, he was five in the Bardock special.

I think it's like this, not abosulutly sure
DB 12
DB end 19
DBZ start 23
end 45
Gt 55
and yeah, the ROSAT did mess up the aging quite a bit.

The time he spent dead also screwed up his age.

The time he spent dead also screwed up his age.

I don't think that counts - it's stated that ppl don't age in the afterlife.

02-05-2005, 05:36 PM
also age only applies to the living. you wouldnt go to your great grandfathers grave to celebrate his 101 birthday when he died at 82. he isnt 101 years old because he wasnt alive for 101 years

maph-oh and brndfrtg (srry if i spelled that wrong) i know this has nothing to do with the topic but your little prince face switchy thing really creeps me out lol

Thanks it's suppose to and sorry, I didn't know that he said 12. The manga VOL.1 says he's 14, it's the only one i have right now. And people call me by my title not my user name.

02-05-2005, 05:57 PM

02-05-2005, 06:03 PM
I PM you about it. Now back on topic.

02-05-2005, 06:27 PM
yah the topic. i really have no idea how old any of them are. i just like reading the messages so i desided this was a worthy topic. i think master roshi is a couple hundred years old. in DB korin said something about master roshi climbed the tower 300 years ago or something along those lines. so he is definitley old

Goku states he was 12 at the first martial arts tournement. The tournies are spaced by 3 years, making him 18 at the end of Dragonball. 5 years pass to DBZ (Funi makes a plothole when they say Gohan is 5 1/2, so let's just say the dub says 7 years pass). This makes him 23 by the sub/ 25 by the dub. Gohan is 11 in the Cell saga, so Goku is 30-31. 7 years pass to the Buu saga, so Goku would be 37-38. 10 years pass to the next tournement, making him 47-48. GT is 5-10 years after that tournement, so Goku is supposed to be 52-58. 2-3 years pass in GT, making him somewhere between 54 and 60.

02-05-2005, 09:25 PM
myth buster, 11 years dont pass from the beginning of dbz to the cell games. So if you go with the ages you start with, Goku should only be around 28-30.

It seems that everyone thinks Goku is about 45 by the end of DBZ, and I'm bored so I'm gonna go ahead and try to figure out how much he actually aged.

Let's see, he was in the RoSaT twice, right? So that's 2 more years, making him 47. Then he was dead for a year in the Saiya-jin (sp?) saga, and 7 more years in the Buu saga. That means that he didn't age for 8 years of DBZ, which means that he actually has the body of a 39 year old, even though he's been alive for 45 (assuming that that's his correct age.)

more than that people!

remember, 2 decades already pass in gt

02-08-2005, 05:53 PM
The topic asked for his age at the end of dbz. Not GT.

First off, 6 years dont pass between db and dbz. Secondly, 3 years pass awaiting the androids. And also, age is a measure of years that expire on Earth since birth rather than biological age. This is how he can relate to other living beings in the mortal world. So in this regard, we measure it by the years that pass on Earth.

Yes, I understand that. But I think most people would regard his historical age as more prevalent to discussion than his biological age.
