The plot has been used TOO MANY TIMES!!!! You know, where one of Ash's pokes get hurt/sick, and he and Pikachu head out alone to take it to a Pokemon Center, and on the way, Ash endures some pain/hardship to gain the trust of a Pokemon. Basically, the story behind every other episode. Boring. Absolutely nothing significant, except that May and Jessie's Wurmples evolve into Silicoon and Cascoon, respectively. 'Bout time.

3.5/10

[They made Ash run like 10 miles to the Pokemon center! THen, where did all the Carvanah come from on that island? Another Pokemon out of its terrority episode from game to TV (Cacnea shows up in Petalburg region). Then you wonder how in the world can anybody get to May, Brock, Max, and Team Rocket in time to save them from the high tide? A boat and a Corpish can't be that fast! Good to see the Wurmples evolve, but I think my TV is broken for Cascoon didn't look purple to me, it looked like Silcoon's white.

You wonder how, when you didn't see the Wurmples battle, were they able to evolve like that?

Please get Ash to battle Brawley again ALREADY!

well, i believe they finally battle next episode. And on my tv, th Cascoon was the lightest possible shade of purple that could be seen.

[That's a very good point for I kept looking at Jessie's Cascoon and I swear, it looked too much like Silcoon and with the same color! That was the lightest purple ever, sheesh! I don't know how the writers can keep doing stuff like that to the viewer at times, no wonder Suishi is a friend to the Japan citizens along with tea. :) Oh well, they can't screw up on Dustox when it evolves from Jessie's Cascoon!

they hve used this plot a lot. the only thing of significance was the evolution. cascoon was a deep purple on my TV. and how did the tide rise about 30 feet overnight?

I didn't like the plot (as brought up earlier they use it to much). If it was more like Ash needs to do some more training and he was in some cave to do so, I would have liked it a bit more. And the Silcoon and Cascoon were to similar in their color. And it was not very realistic either. I know it's a fantasy cartoon but still, May and the others would have been dead before Ash could reach them. And if they only used their brains a bit there might have been a way to get out of the cages.

Plot was a little old but the evolutions were nice. The Carvahna incident was a little out of the ordinary just because large groups of pokémon don't regularly attack Ash and co. If I were to rate it I'd give it a 6/10.

Actually, large groups of Pokes attack Ash an CO. Many times. In jsut Hoenn, we have had Aron, Sharpedo, and Tailow swarms attack them. And before that many other such incidents happened, like the Spearow in the first Episoe, the Fearow and Spearow in the episode where Pigeot is left behind, etc.

True, but I mean on a regular basis. There's a few incidents but they aren't around all the time (at least not before Hoenn).

I'm beginning to think the Hoenn pokémon have a serious problem with people now that you bring all those situations up.

It seems like the Hoenn Pokemon are wild and more meaner then Indigo and Johto, which seems to explain why there may not be too many Pokemon captures among Ash, May, and Brock due to the nature.

Yeah it seems Hoenn Pokemon always are in fights, either with other Pokemon or humans. L
