If you sacrifice Arcbound Ravager to itself when it's a 1/1 does it get the +1/+1 counter before you have to distribute them among other artifact creatures?

If you sacrifice Arcbound Ravager to itself when it's a 1/1, does it get the +1/+1 counter?Once you sacrifice the Arcbound Ravager (http://mi.wizards.com/global/images/magic/general/arcbound_ravager.jpg), it is not "in play" anymore, since all sacrificed permanents are automatically put into the graveyard (unless the card's ability states otherwise).

So the Ravager doesn't get the +1/+1 bonus if you sacrifice it. You will have to sacrifice another artifact.
