Question about CC and State Championships

Lets say I live in Ohio, but I win a city championship in Indiana. If i go to the State championship in Ohio, will my VIP package carry over from my Indiana tournament result? Or would i have to participate in an Indiana state championship? Just curious. Any information about this will be appreciated. Thanks! :D
