“A few Millennia ago, a Pharaoh and 6 Priests ruled over Egypt using the power darkness emitted from 7 Gold Items. These 7, the gold objects, were created from the sacrifice of many people, and a man twisted by the stench of revenge set forth a journey to destroy the Pharaoh. Along the way, he met the general of the Pharaoh and not long from that point the Pharaoh was attacked by 2 Great Beasts of Death. Not long after this attack, the Pharaoh was again attacked, but this time by vengeance.”

“Interesting, isn’t it, Kumba?” A tough looking, black man, wearing Archaeologist clothing said to a skinnier, lighter toned and younger man.

“Indeed, Professor. I think this would be a great addition to the other item my teacher found.” The young man replied

The Professor turned from the sandy brown wall to the group of people helping his exploration. The group was wearing tan robes and white turbans and had a strange aura to them.

“Sir, I found something!” Kumba said while searching the wall. The professor turned and looked at the wall with the young archaeologist. Kumba pulled a gem out of the wall of stone with ease and stared at it. The gem was an emerald with a shady figure inside it that seemed to be a lizard of sorts.

“What do you think it is?” Kumba asked.

“I believe it’s a Millennium Item…” said an elderly man walking over to the wall. He was short and had a beard and wavy hair. His tender brown eyes softened the nature of Kumba as he looked into them.

“Teacher, you’re here?” Kumba asked the old man.

“I had to come. Once I heard about news of a Millennium Item I had to come. Besides, your sons had to come here.”

“What? What about Aiiku?” Kumba asked, semi-frightened.

Solomon Motou turned away from Kumba. Tears filled Kumba’s eyes and he bowed his head.

“How…?” Kumba asked sadly.

Solomon replied sternly, “Cancer, heretically from the bomb according to the doctors. But you know…I read that a man from America named Pegasus was trying to revive is wife from the dead. Maybe you two should talk to each other about it.”

“I think I’ll do that right after this…”

Solomon looked at the wall and gasped. He became more interested as he looked at the wall’s writings.

“To each knight shall there be a dragon. For the dead shall smite the Magic. When the servant betrays the King, by bonds of love, a shadow comes forward. To defeat the shadow, God shall descend and fail.”

“When the will of the small man strikes forward, with the shot of a barrel, Hell shall be the safety to the King.”

“The Light shall try to strike down the Dragon, but the great roar shall shatter the final defense.”

“Onward is the battle of many battles and to this battle, a chapter of hell arises.”

Kumba and Solomon looked to the last piece of the writing. The Wdjat Eye on the wall changed color from gold to blood red.

“What’s this..?! It can’t be!”

Both backed away slowly and called for the men. The group ran from the area on the back of horses and camels. The sun shone brightly upon the picture of an angel struggling with a dragon and a demon attacking what seemed to be Yugi. The Sun seemed to drop from the sky as clouds loomed overhead. The form of a griffin emerged from the wall and roared.

Generals Approach (Part 1) - The Vengeful Black Dragon

“Three Days ago, a young boy was killed during a card-game known as ‘Duel Monsters’. This boy is reported to be a student at Domino High, known as Ryo Bakura. This is footage of the duel.” The screen of the television flashed as Marik and Ishizu looked on in wonder. Marik turned slowly to a shadowy figure who sat in a chair.

Marik spoke to the figure, “Bakura…What do you think is happening?”

Ishizu sighed gloomily and sat back, her black hair dropping.

A tall, young man stood behind the two. His light brown skin gleamed in the sun’s light. His curly, black hair twisted into spikes upon his head that resembled the spines of a monster, two strands dropped downward from the middle, and his eyes were red like blood. His evil stare looked on at the screen. He wore a dark green shirt imprinted with a gold dragon and shadowy pants.

"So that boy is Ryo Bakura?" The 6'4" teen asked with his heavy voice.

"Yes, that's him." Marik answered.

"It's interesting how much he looks like the Thief King Bakura." The teenager replied.

"Well, Kaizer Ryujin, that's because he is." Marik sighed.

"I slightly guessed from your description of him. So apparently he's dead now?" Kaizer asked.

"I didn't think it would be possible to kill him, but looks like it. I wonder who killed him." Marik replied and wondered to himself.

Kaizer grunted and turned his view to a young girl behind him. From a glance alone, her Japanese heritage was evident. Her skin brightened as she moved into the sun. Her brown eyes shined like bright, golden-orange beryl. Her long brown hair flowed full of life. Her pink short-sleeve shirt reflected some light as she rested her head on her hand.

"You know, Shizuka, your brother may have lost and same goes for Yugi." Kaizer stated to the girl.

"I know my brother will be here...I just know it..." Shizuka said, turning to Kaizer. “I don’t get it…no one should die like that.” she said sadly.

“I can’t figure this pattern out either. It's like the world is collapsing into darkness.” The boy said angrily.

“Indeed. This is a dark predicament. I wonder what Pegasus wants to do with the tournament…” Ishizu said from the side.

A young Asian girl walked up to the group. This girl had short brown hair, tied up and wore mascara in a gothic fashion. Her blue eyes seemed to shiver as she drank from a small white cup. She sat by them and spat up her drink when she saw the TV screen.

“Bakura!” she yelled out.

Kaizer blinked and said, "Yes, that's Bakura, how did you know?"

"I've seen him with my sister a few times but normally he's alone. My sister said that he was hunting for seven golden... things and that he already had one." the girl said.

“He did seem a alone but little creepy when I saw him during Battle City. Him and those awful ghosts…” the long haired brunette said softly.

“Bakura isn’t that bad. He’s a pretty good guy when you get to know him.” Marik snapped.

“Brother, you were partners during that time. He did help to fight the dark you so maybe he wasn't all too bad. Let's all meet up at the Airport.” Ishizu said. The dark haired woman rose to her feet and walked towards a nearby table.

The group left the area and went in their seperate directions. Kaizer ducked into an alley then followed the path down the way. He followed the path until he reached a hatch on the ground. He opened the hatch and dropped down the hole in the ground. The hatch closed up behind him.

Kaizer stared face to face with a mirror. The reflection of the teen was older and more serious looking. Kaizer sighed and pointed at his reflection. "If you're here, that can only mean that a Shadow Game is coming. Am I right, Do'Degon?" the ruby-eyed boy asked.

"You are partially correct. This is a game far worsed than a mere Shadow Game, this is a Nightmare Game. And this is far from coming, for it hast started already." The reflection spoke back. "This time, I need to use you as a host."

"Why this time?" Kaizer asked, shocked.

"Because this Nightmare Game will use a newer set of rules. The Nightmare Duel set by Pegasus will be a bit more strategic. These are newer rules, according to the texts:

Life Points will now be backed by Soul Points. Once your soul points reach -1500 you will die instantly.

Monsters will now have their original souls in them. This will allow them to interact as they normally would during the situation."

"What? I never saw anything on Soul Points." Kaizer replied, curiously.

"Pegasus never told anyone about the rule. He is trying to make sure that the losers do not go unpunished for not completing their hidden goals." Do'Degon replied.

"Hidden Goal?"

The reflection turned to his side. "Yes...the hidden goal as I guess, would be to kill the Duel King."

"Why? Pegasus wouldn't do that...I know he wouldn't!" Kaizer snapped, unsurely.

"That is the truth, Kaizer... Now, you know what to do." The reflection stated calmly and pointed to an emerald with a red eye imprinted on it.

Kaizer said nothing but lifted the emerald and stared into its eye. He sighed and laced the jewel with a thread, next placing it around his neck. He grunted in pain as his vision became blurred. He held his heart in pain until finally he let out a cry of pain from which spouted blood. He stood up straight and cracked his neck.

"Game King...Shall you give me that last battle I need to sleep peacefully? Shall I finally put my hatred to rest? Shall I avenge my soldiers who died for your pharaonic name, Atem..." he said in a heavier voice. His red eyes were replaced with firey circles and his hair was more spiny.
