Prereleased Tournament help, please!

Hey, i found out about the upcoming March tournament involving the TEam aqua and magma sets and on the pojo site i was looking at it said limited. Could someone please explain what limited is..thanks.
P.S. I've played in a million tourneys but it's been a while and there's this problem that always bothered me because everybody thought differently on the subject: Moves such as Fossil Magmar's Smokescreen, are they still in effecft if the opponent swithces? I thought it wasn't but...w/e, thanks again

Limited means they give you the cards and you build your deck on the spot, from those cards.

Smokescreen is an effect that resides on the Pokemon Magmar attacked, so it goes away if that Pokemon is benched.
Always look to figure out where the effect resides.
