I've been watching the episodes before the Makai Tournament and I would like to know when Yusuke finds out that Raishin isn't his father? I mean through all the eps I've been watching He refers to Raishin as father, (but They are all subtitled, so the translation could be off).
Oh and about Kurama, now in "another" time he betrayed Youmi, i.g. he set him up to die. Then he betrayed Youmi again when he and Gin, etc. declared that they would side with Yusuke against Youmi. So that's TWO times the Kurama has betrayed Youmi who was his so called friend. I just thinks it makes Kurama look bad as a person. Anyway, when they read Youko's power it was at 152,000. That's about what Goku was when he fought Ginyu on Namek, and Youko didn't REALLY power up. That's really strong no matter what anime your watching.

I got them from a friend of mine, who taped them from somewhere else. They are the eight eps leading up to the Makai Tournament. They begin with Raishin sending his people to ask of Yusuke's assistance in the coming war for turf. And it ends after Yusuke tells Youmi, that he will stand with Mukuro against him, then Kurama, Gin, Touya, Chou, Rinku, Shishi, and Sasuke all tell Youmi that they too will stand with Yusuke and Mukuro. Then Youmi goes to his basement and looks upon his child that he's growing who isn't fully developed yet and has a PL of like 180,000. Then these demon's come to Yusuke to give their condolences because Raishin died, then they say they will fight with Yusuke and they release their energies and it's tremendous enough that Youmi feels it and begins to fear that he will not be able to win the war, then they go to the basement and the child is laughing because he too feels the power and it excites him. That's where they end.

The subs you are watching are most likely the Hong Kong ones that were subtitled horribly. Supposedly they had Kurama as a girl and a lot of other things wrong.
Anyway, Raizen is Yusuke's ancestor. Never did he mention him as father.

No, I believe their in Japanese. I think that in ***. they use to call Hiei = Kurama and Kurama = Hiei, or maybe they still do. But that was the only thing that was wrong.

You're watching the Hong Kong Subtitles(HK Subs). The subtitles were done by a person in America who'se alias is Anime_Mac. Yuusuke always calls Raizen(Not Raishin) his "father" as in he's like the father he never had, even though he knows he's his ancestor.
Kurama and the others sided with Yomi. Kurama went and got Jin and the others for Yomi. And that 152,000 was just Kurama TP. It's not the same as a DBZ Power Level.

I know what it was, I'm just saying 152,000 is alot NO MATTER what anime it is. In the eps. they spelled his name Raishin..., so may bad on that one. And they didn't side with Youmi, Kurama went there because Youmi asked him too, and when Yusuke took over for Raizen and he went to see Youmi, Kurama and the rest told Youmi that they would fight beside Yusuke when the factions went to war. Atleast, that's what I read from the subtitles.

The HK Subs = crap. Kurama and the others fought for Yomi, because Yomi's kingdom had expectedly, the most powerful fighters.

Well later on during the tournament and the three big battles doesn't Yusuke lose to Youmi, Hiei lose to Mukuro, and I forget what the other fight was?

Alright... First, Yusuke didn't call Raizen "father." He called him "Old Man," which can be used as a slang as "father," but Yusuke didn't mean it that way. If you know about Japanese and Chinese, you would know that people call Genkai "Grandma," but of course they didn't mean real blood relations. It just some terms that they use to the elderly.
Secondly, yes, Kurama did betray Yomi twice. And Yomi obviously wasn't happy about it. He would probably attack Kurama and the others outright if Muruko hadn't give her consent to Yusuke in agreeing to join the tournament.
