Cell almost defeated Goku in GT...(theory to why Gt chose this)

If Goku were an android, i'd say thatd be a possibility. I don't think power has anything to do with it. Cell in Z could absorb humans because he was in his very first form, let's just say he's full of humans/living beings. I still think however, he hungers for more androids. If Cell were to absorb Super Android 17 out of no where, I still think thats a possibility because they're both Dr. Gero's(if you consider it that way). Plus since 17 is apart of artificial 17, there is a chance of cell absorbing. Just how powerful would cell be if he succeeded?

I don't quite understand the first part of that with Goku.........but I think the criteria for Cell's absorbtion is the codes that are built into 17 and 18. Super 17 has this code so I think technologically he would be compatible with Cell. However....all biological beings have limits in terms of reactions. I think Cell was only able to be designed up to the power of 17 and 18. When biological beings react to more than they are intended on, there is often adverse reactions that occur. So there is a chance that super 17 would cause an overload and destroy cell.
