I kno that there has been a thread on this, but i couldn't find it through search. Anyways my friend and I had a conflict over this card when I used it. He said that the attack still goes through. I told him that it doesn't because there is no monster to attack with. Who's right?

Who's right?The attack simply stops and play does not proceed to the damage step because damage calculation requires both monsters to remain on the field in order for it to be calculated. I must say that those words if not verbatim or very similar to a question posted earlier on this forum.

Edit-Yes, direct attacks only require 1 monster to perform damage calculation before thee starts correcting me.

since sakeratsu must be activated in the battle step the damage would never go through since you couldn't enter a damage step with one monster ( unless of course your attacking directly, ).
