How come I've never seen anyone speculate about any sort of spinoff involving Future Trunks. I mean there is a lot for him to deal with and it could make a decent series. A quest to find the New Namek. A Buu saga with an adult Trunks, but no Goten to fuse with.

It wouldn't really work because remember that Trunks' timeline is already so far in the future that Babadi would have already come to inspect the Earth. He would have realized that this world was a world of ruins and not enough to revive Buu.

Unavoidable death? How so? Anyway, I think people would like it because Trunks is bolder and there's no Pan.

The Unavoidable death comes from Dabura, who was deemed to be around Perfect Cell's power by Goku. Trunks didn't stand a chance against Cell, much less Dabura.

The only way he could make a decent stand is if he Perfected his SSJ like Gohan and Goku (Which they were able to go toe to toe with a powered down Perfect Cell) or easily being able to defeat him if somehow he achieved the Ascended state. And this probably would only happen if he was able to spend more time in the RoSaT.

Which might be possible considering he hadn't trained in the room in that timeline.

But even considering that Babidi might not necessarily stop by, its highly unlikely that Trunks would beat dabura.

Then again, it was highly unlikely that Goku would defeat frieza.....
