I got to thinking back to the old days when Potpourri consisted of Pokémon like Base Set Ponyta.
With that idea in mind, I set out to make a Modified Potpourri Deck!

Pokémon: 18
Basic-14
2×Spearow (FRLG)
2×Rhyhorn
1×Magmar
1×Growlithe (FRLG)
2×Venonat
2×Electabuzz
2×Wobbuffet
2×Corsola

Stage 1-4
2×Fearow (FRLG)
2×Venomoth

Energy: 20
2×Fighting
2×Fire
1×Grass
3×Lightning
2×Psychic
2×Water
4×Rainbow
4×Multi

Trainers: 22
4×Celio's Network
4×Pokémon Retriever
3×Lady Outing
2×Dual Ball
2×Strength Charm
2×Switch
1×Energy Recycle System
1×Swoop! Teleporter
1×Mt. Moon
1×Great Ball
1×Lanette's Net Search

The strategy is to pound on the opponent's weakness!!
Lanette's Net Search, Celio's Network, Dual Ball, and Great Ball get out Pokémon.
Lady Outing nabs 3 Basic Energies easily.
Rainbow and Multi are staples in a deck like this.
Only Pokémon capable of doing 40+ were put into this deck.
Ex: Venomoth can OHKO Nidoqueen or TM's Groudon on heads from Razor Wind. (Yep, I'm a risky player!)
Corsola and Magmar double as card drawers. (If I can get another Magmar, I will certainly add it in over Growlithe)
Electabuzz is a the finisher--sniping the bench for 40 damage.
Strength Charm now goes before W/R, so it can add 20 damage for some OHKO's. (Ex: Corsola vs. Blaze, Electabuzz vs. Dark Crobat, Magmar vs. Beedrill.)

I'm open to suggestions!
Please, if you make a fix, retain at least one Pokémon of each color. That is, after all, what Potpourri is all about!!!
If anyone can suggest a good Metal or Darkness type, that would help a lot.

-Kooper, who wouldn't add Dark or Metal Energy--Rainbow is enough!

You could add a TM or TA Mightyena for a Darkness type and Maxie/Archie or a matching Poochyena to get it out. I'm assuming Pokémon-ex are out of the question, but if not, Rocket's Sneasel ex and Registeel ex are good cards. Definitely take out Growly for another Magmar when you get one. Other than that, not too much to fix, really.

Now you've just GOTTA rate my new version of Electrokinesis! It features evolution Pokémon this time instead of nothing but big basics. Please rate it! PLEEEEEASE???
