Attack glitch?

I was searching for Latios in the water near Mosedeep. When you get attacked by a wild pokemon the waves go to the right this time they went up+down and swirled in the middle? I wasnt paying that much attention so i cant give out that much detail but i thought for sure it was latios because the wild pokemon screen was messed up...

I think he means like the battle intro. When you first go into a battle, depending on where you are, something happens. If you are in the water, waves go accross the screen.
