Is "it" worth battling with? What so great about it? I think it's kinda cute but what's the point of it? It has like 1hp! Tell me what to do with it!
Thanx

If Shedinja is up against the right opponent that can't harm it, then it can be a pretty good annoyer. It can use things like Grudge, Confuse Ray, Toxic, and Shadow Ball. When up against an opponent that you think will be able to kill him, you can use Protect so that you don't take the one fatal hit, so you'll be able to switch out in time...

Shedinja has a wonderful ability, but only 1 HP. It can be OHKOd by any attack that is Super Effective against it like Rock, Fire, Flying, Dark, or Ghost. Also, it will faint from any of the following: poison, leech seed, a burn, sandstorm, hail, struggle, self-hit due to confusion, and spikes. Most posters get one only so they can complete their pokedex, not to battle with, although some have tried.
I and a few others are currently putting together the same team of what we consider to be the 3 most lame of all R/S pokemon, to challenge the BT just for fun. The team is Shedinja, Luvdisc, and Nosepass. So I guess I'll be finding out first hand soon.
Got Shedinja?

Shedninja is too defeatable. Even if none of your opponents pokemon can harm it, it faints as soon as it runs out of pp.

Shedininja is the best. Only super effective moves hit him. Who cares if he has 1hp? A super effective move usually KO's your pokemon anyway unless your opponent is super weak. so its worth it to me.

with a shedinja, you want to have double team, so if they do have a SE move, it wont hit. they can also die of confusion, leech seed, recoil, struggle, or other non-combat damaging attacks.

DT makes my point even better about shedninja

Shedinja rocks because it has the best ability and give it Focus Band and that's pretty good. A good moveset:
Shedinja @ focus band
Double Team
Shadow Ball
Confuse Ray
Toxic
Bother the opponent, (confuse, toxic) and then double team and kill the thing with shadow ball. Put a lot of MAx PP (or those items that raise the PP for the maximum PP; ethers?) on Shadow Ball and you're set!

Shedinja will die as soon as it appears if they run spikes, so you'll need a rapid spinner. Shedinja can toxic on the switch, can use grudge to mess up the opponent, and can avoid damage with confuse ray and DT. DT won't help him against sandstorm/hail. He's really hard to keep alive, but I've used him for psudo hazing. Like forcing a Latios to switch after four calm minds.

its ability would be better if it had fewer weaknesses, like if it was part steel or something, but then i suppose that GF wouldnt make a almost unbeatable pkmn anyway, i just wish they had given that ability to Sableye (insert old evil smiley here)

Brightpowder should be used on Shedinja, not Focus Band, because when hit by Toxic/WOW/Leech Seed/C-Ray you can't be saved by FB. However, Brightpowder will help you avoid them along with the other attacks. Neither will work on Spikes/Hail/Sandstorm/Struggle/Confusion.
