ive been playing magic for about 2 years, i live in a ick town where people think arabian nights is the new set out. it is sad and pathetic. but i read on pojo about type 1 and two decks. what do they mean, normally i would ask someone who has had more experience than me, but i am the most experienced person, im the only person in my town that actually gets out to a major city, the other people wait around till a new shipment of boosters comes to walmart. if you could please help me on the question i would gladly apreciate it

I'm assuming your question is "What is Type 1?" Ok.

Type 1 is a Vintage format that allows virtually any card from any set (except for the Portal sets, Unglued, and various anti cards/cards that disrupt game play.) The cards mentioned are the only ones on the banned list. Type 1 doesn't have any sets rotating out of it, only in. It also has an extensive restricted list. Competitive Type 1 is also the least played format (not CASUAL Type 1, competitive). That's about it.

to further ansewr your question.

Type 1 is stated above, with the minimum of a 60 card deck to as big as you want it with a 15 card sideboard.

Type 1.5 is basically the same as type 1.0 except pretty much anything restricted in type 1 is banned in type 1.5 except for a couple handfuls of cards. this is by far the most strict format when it comes to deck construction I have heard of a deck sleeve rule for some of these that go on basically because it's hard to use cards this old and not have them be marked or identifiable from other cards. same here minimum of a 60 card deck and must have a 15 card sideboard.

extended is I think it goes back to tempest right now. but it is a little different from type 1.5 this restricts more cards than acually banning them and it doesn't include every set it does rataote out a little later. 60 card deck minimum 15 card SB

standard/type II is the 2 most recent blocks(Onslaught Block, Mirrodin Block) and the most recent reprint set(8th)when 9th comes in 8th rotates out.
and when the next block after the 3 from mirrodin comes Onslaught will rotate out. 60 card deack minimum 15 card SB

limited is booster drafts 40 card minimum all extra from the draft is sideboard.
(I think this includes Sealed also if not sealed is what you play when you are in a flight at a pre-release 40 card deck minimum all other cards are sideboard) if you havent gone to one I suggest you do.

hope this answers your question.

Yes. I believe that anything that is on the Type 1 restricted list is by default banned in Type 1.5.

Constructed formats only use a banned list.

Extended currently includes: Tempest block, Urza block, Masques (sp?) block, Invasion b., Odessy b., Onslaught b., and Mirrodin b. A year from this November/October, Tempest, Urza and Masques blocks will all rotate out of extended (also called 1.X)

There are also lots of variants of limited, so many that limited is its own section in Magic (the other two being Vintage and Constructed.) Booster, Sealed, Rochester, Sol. I'm sure there are others. In any limited format, the cards you don't use are considered your sb.
