Auto : [Choose a 《Royal Paladin》 from your Hand, and discard it] When this unit is placed on G, you may pay the cost. If you do, your《Royal Paladin》can't be hit until the end of the battle.

Anyone else think that this card is super important?

Its only important to royal paladins because it's their perfect guard.

I'd rather have Alfreds and SSDs over it but all perfect guards are important to every clan.

I think blockers like this chocolat and barri are super important. They can change the game entirely if your getting hit by a vanguard. Alfreds are pretty clutch tho. What do you use for back row when you use alfreds?

Lake Maiden Lien or a Grade 3 behind Alfred.

A G3 behind Alfred? What good is there to have it there?

the 2k boost. if you have a dead grade 3 in hand but need that final 2k to make him 20k you can toss a G3 behind him for the quick boost without sacrificing key cards in your hand to guard with

That and you can get away with Gigantech's relatively low power and still get its awesome effect.

Playing a deck without null guards means you either win before your opponent gets to grade 3 or you don't play in tournaments. Too many decks can swing for too much late game (especially in the Asian meta).

With some of the newer cards like Dragonic Kaiser Vermilion, the Omni-Guards shields will become more important.

They only protect one unit, so Vermillion does not rightly care. The big beaters that attack a single target are what you'll need them for.

I always use is when the vanguard swings on my vanguard late game. Can stop a kill they think they have in the bag.
