Smashing Ground vs. Enemy Controller

Opponent activates Smashing Ground on say my Mystic Swordsman (the only card I have on the feild at time) I chain Enemy Controller and take control of their Enraged Battle Ox. Does smashing kill their Enraged? I tried to resolve chain backwards and I came up with Enraged being targeted by smahing ground after resolution of EC. Correct?

Yes, that's correct. When Smashing Ground resolves, it goes for the only remaining monster on your side of the field, which is the Enraged Battle Ox.
