Quick question for the RP players... With barcgal still legal in tcg as starting vanguard, do you find that your need for level 2s is less? I feel like I could go with a lot less grade 2s and replace them with flash shields (1-2) or a lien so I can use the effects. Of course in a kagero match up this may not be good because barcgal gets hit so much, but I can always hold back on hitting untill I get Llews effect off

I'm assuming you've got 4 Margal, otherwise you're short 2 trigger units. oO

Come set 2 paladins get more useful grade 2s so I would suggest you try to keep them between 10-12 now. Even if you have Barcgal. Part of this is also because you run Alfred you want to have more attackers to call out usually instead of just boosters.

Looks good, but.....14 triggers!? Also how's 1 Gancelot and 4 Blasters going for you...I also run 4, but cut Gancelot cause my BBlades like to clog

General Earth

Elliot caught it I run 4 margals. was just a typo

Additional Comment:

You know I actually like the Gance I have BBlade in the soul more often than not and his effect does force ppl to over guard.

I did take out the Loengrin for a Mr Incredible though

4 Blasters and 1 Gancelot is perfectly fine. Especially if you superior into blaster AND you charge pongal/margal, you can soulblast without wasting the blaster blade and then drop gancelot over SSD if you need to

^^^^ yup with 4 margals and pongals its never been an issue to leave a BB in the soul even after a SSD ride.

My sp has to stay in my deck forever first pack ever lol!

my first sp was cocoa and I feel the same way. Funny how a rarity can make you feel different about the card.

Well yeah but there is always a variety of thing that make cards special...
Like how my first two vanguard packs were sp gancelot and rrr blaster blade... And more importantly my girlfriend bought the box for me lol.

And we compare it to me starting pokemon or Digimon or duel masters and pulling stuff like gyarados(base set 1) or megaseadramon(think of it as an sp rr I guess) or astronomer dragon (was like hhighest rarity as well)
Lol I think how you get the card also means a ton

General Earth

agreed... its funny though I actually traded my RRR BBlades for RRs since I wanted the same card art as aiche. Now I se the promo ones though and I may go after a playlet of them some how

Promo ones have no skill so you know.
I'm only keeping one of my rrr because of how i got it lol. I want an sp blaster really bad though

25/30 apiece is a bit much... I'd love just having one >.>

Uggggg the auto correct is killing me six=sux lol

Back to the deck though....

my new grade 3 line up that Im testing is

2x King of Knights, Alfred
1x Solitary Knight Ganceot
4x Soul Savior Dragon
1x Mr. Invincible (was demon slaying knight lohengrin)

I was torn because I do think 4 SSDs are heavy especially since I can search for em. The Mr Incredible only really works mid game, and only as a back up to if I blew through too many counters or Im against a kag deck that prevented my Llew play. In all honestly it really frees Blaster Blade up for more destruction and makes akane more viable in my deck. Im finding that my play style is changing some too (hitting rear guards and pushing for longer games) so he helps out quite a bit.

Ssd is usually better in 2 or 3 beside 4 Alfred.
Basic strategy calls to push with alfred until they have a small hand usually under 5 works the drop ssd for game push

Invincible is still a boss for the deck but may conflict with blaster blade

When I use with blaster blade its usually a prep of the counters that I have used up until that point. I end up with Blades in my hand after I superior ride him and I hate to play Blade and not use the effect so I prep with Invincible... usually only 1-2 turns then call blade after cross riding into an RP normally a SSD, pump the back rear guard and use blade to help with the interceptors. Though at 1 Mr Incredible doesn't come into play much its just another card in the deck rather than a focus. In much the same way I use Gancelot (an enabler that every now an then gets to shine). It is also good with YPK plays too to prep for akane/Margal combos to eventually pump YPK for pushes.

The down fall really is the speed and the lack of perfect guard protection so timing is essential I have found to using him properly. though his 2nd skill (if ever i get to use it)could be nifty to from the RG

Peg knight needs a royal paladin vanguard. You would be better off leaving Lohengrin. I hate to waste blaster blades too but unfortunately there comes a time when you pretty much need to.

Damage prepping is only good in some cases. I suggest you stick to normal set 2 paladins if ever. Any inconsistency in that deck is lacking damage to CB off of.

General Earth

Yup by prep for ypk plays Im referring to flipping the counters to allow me to use akane and to go into margal, and even pongal (yes I know I can't use the effect till I get a RP vanguard in. I wasn't using the ypk effects while I had a NG vanguard

I just find my self starved for counters

Undefeated again the deck runs super smooth. I may go back to no Invincible I seem to do better by going for the win faster so the turn or two that I set up with Invincible seems to be a waste. Im wondering how its gonna do when we get the new set though and gonna start testing against what some future match ups. Any one have any suggestions for modifications for the next set? Or do I leave it be till we get JP set 3?

What's your current deck list? I went undefeated at the only local tournament so far but I'd be interested in seeing what's been working for you.

Additional Comment:

OK BIG TOURNEY THIS WEEKEND!!! :)

I made some changes

-1 gancelot / -1 SSD
+2 Knight of Conviction (I just feel like I need something that can do more in my front RG than what the dance and 4th sad were giving me

I also got rid of the LLien for a 3rd null guard. I just like my YPKs too much to can them but maybe I should reconsider this. I gotta say most games they put in work with all the margal, Pongal and Barcgal stuff I can pull

What are ppls thoughts on Bors?

Elliot Gale

Bors is fine, one of the better rear guard candidates for the time being, simply because nobody else is hitting 20+ out there.

Gotta say I've been playing all afternoon with it and I'm loving the g3 line up. I think I got my build for this weekends big $500 tourney.
