So people lend me cards on thursday and can pretty much play anything except windups but I didn't want to play that deck anyways because its not that great imo but that is just me
I was pretty set to play plants with 3 veilers because I couldn't make a proper inzektor deck after Dale and Lazaro tell me its broken. I look at Lazaro's deck on DN and just decide to copy it and change the Mirror Force for 2 dualities. I started going to regionals again after skipping 3 or 4, but I topped the last one in Toronto.
Saturday
Rd 1 vs Patrick Chow
Gm1: He is playing anti meta spellcasters like he always does but after a slow start I combo with hornet
Gm2: He Macro Cosmos me with spellcasters village and I forget that I can just summon veiler to play spells and I just set it which Lazaro calls me an idiot for doing (this happened many times that day lol)
Gm3: I grind out with a ryko to kill the spellcasters village and top Armageddon Knight to do the combo
Rd 2 vs Samurais
Gm1: I open my hand and realize I didn't side out cyber dragons but play on he starts with elder, the tuner and an asceticism to make stardust and he sets 3 backrows. So obviously since he didn't make Shien he must have double sword technique and I have 2 mst's but this stardust is a problem. I top veiler and use that unsidecked cyber to make bio and mst twice to hit double edge and a magatama... I then avarice into warning for the last set magatama... man I am a sack
Gm2: He makes a utopia with 2 kizans and a kageki so the kageki is 200atk and he sets 3 backrows. I summon maxx C and he gets confused and I atk kageki I am guessing he forgot since he made utopia it is 200 atk and he lets it die. I heavy him and hit macro, warning and an mst for the gg
Rd3 vs Anti Meta
Gm1: he plays doom calibur and I play a trooper lol I dustshoot and combo
Gm2: he locks me with multiple doomcaliburs and I play terrible again he crowed my Sangan when he had a doom calibur and a wanghu because I wanted the wanghu to trigger and the doomcalibur to kill it but when he crowed I forgot the doomcalibur negates it sigh I am terrible
Gm3: I combo him lol what a stupid deck
Rd4 vs Karakuris
So we both get a game loss due to not unsidedecking properly lol ya I know yet again, funny thing is I checked prior to our match if I unsidedecked and guess I didn't look hard enough
Gm3: I open combo and he can't do much and I grind advantage
Rd5 vs Harrison (agents)
Gm1: I have combo but get 2 warnings, fiendish chained, veilered and a solemn judgement... he wins with damage when I have plus
Gm2: I combo and he can't do much
Gm3: I have plus 5 he has 2 cards in hand and I am at 2500 with a faceup centipede that got veilered. I know he has honest and he tops an earth with reborn to make Ancient Sacred Wyvern and honests it for game -_-
Rd6 vs Dragons
Gm1: He beats me down hard with 1800atk wyverns and I have no hornet, but I didn't realize dragonfly was 1800 def until after I threw away like 2 centipedes a veiler and 4000 life points lol man I am bad and he just dark holes me for the game
Gm2: I beat him with BLS and Snowman Eater (I love this card)
Gm3: His 1900atk dragon that negates special summoning light and dark is no match for Snowman Eater and I combo sort of in a weird way with ryko and using hornet to attach to hornet, he topped a Future Fusion to make it difficult but I win with low lifepoints like I did a lot because my opening hands were just never that strong
Rd7 vs Dale (mirror match)
Sucks we have to play but it happens
Gm1: He sets 2 backrows and I know he usually waits to dustshoot so I summon Sangan and atk then I heavy which he then realizes he forgot to warning and I dustshoot him and beat down with trooper, needless to say I had a good hand and his wasn't so good
Gm2: I open good and turn 3 dustshoot him after controlling the board with trooper and Sangan again, his hand was once again dead especially after I saw avarice and he was forced to crash dragonfly into Sangan to get 5 monsters and I searched crow
So I make it to the final round bubble again for like the 6th straight time, I lost to Matt Peddle one of the times with his Uria deck after winning game 1 lol
Also I should mention I didn't know the gigamantis dragonfly hornet combo the whole day LOL I was just using gigamantis to boost atk and kill rai-ohs and go around veilers ahahaha even after numerous times of Lazaro explaining it to me between rounds

Gm1: He warnings my dragonfly but I have 2 calls and I milled a hornet off trooper lol I combo hard and he is like neg 10
Gm2: I lose because I dont heavy first before setting Gozen Match like I wanted to and his set was an mst and he goes off with formula and trishing me on my turn hitting my trooper and my live in hand BLS. I had planned to mill my needed light with trooper which I did and drop BLS with priority so that his trish wouldn't work but ya the worst case scenario happened... oh well
Gm3: I am losing bad and my hand is so terrible but I slow him down with fiendish and gozen but I am at 900. I have allure with no darks and top a hornet and decide its now or never so I allure into centipede hornet like a champion!!! lol and combos insue and he doesn't have a heavy. I also maxx C and kill all his tengus and am at like plus 9 or so and win when he tries a bls for game I have a book for the win
During the game someone behind me asks BFG how the hell I came back with such a terrible hand and he replies do you not know who this is lol
Top8 vs Harrison
So I get to take revenge if I win for my only loss. I kind of don't care at this point so I play kind of loose
Gm1: I wait for him to summon rai-oh with my hand having trooper and gain slow plus 1's but he is going aggro like swiss so I ditch that plan and he is at 5000 so I Dark Hole a rai-oh and venus and put my nuts on the table (I miscalculated thought that a trooper and bls was 5900 for some reason lol) summon trooper needing to mill one of my 3 lights and mill as the third card ryko and drop BLS for 4900 leaving him at 100. I set warning fully knowing he will mst it so I have to hope his hand of 5 is nothing. He msts and activates duality for maxx C, dustshoot and mst LOL I win
Gm2: I duality for a BLS because I have beat him every game with it even in swiss and I am controlling with trooper and have light and dark. The next turn I flip ryko eat a backrow and mst the other, I then drop BLS and trooper for game

Finally learning the giga mantis combo after Aaron explained it to me for like the 10th time
Snowman Eater was a champ versus the random aggro crap there
Never had to play against windups
Buying Hornets before regionals without knowing how good the deck was
