So after many a regional reports of mine, I finally have some GOOD news for myself. Today I came 7th place in swiss at Toronto Regionals with Inzektors. I know a lot of you are either thinking "God Inzektors are terrible and skill-less", or "Why Inzektors when you have Wind-Ups?". Personally, I don't like Wind-Ups, everything seems way to difficult to get off, and I just thought Inzektors would be the best choice. Now I have one used the deck twice, once at Card Masters on Friday night (As in yesterday) to test for regionals. I had randomly decided I didn't wanna play plants, thinking about it, I thought "WTF Plants are terrible" so I immediately set out to find as much Inzektor **** as I could. After a couple minutes I had made a deck and I was playing tournament, and before I knew it I was 3-0, I couldn't believe how amazing this deck was, it was just a walking plus machine, I kept trying to think of different combos I could pull off, and the list seemed endless. In round 4 I played against Wind-Ups. He was a nice enough guy, and I got paired down while perfect, so regardless, I would have probably given him the win. But he topped a Dark Hole anyway so it didn't matter. After winning my top 8 match I had to play him again, this time things went differently, I was winning and I was about to win the match, but instead he topped an avarice, and then got a Dark Hole from that. So with that I was out, and no too concerned with Wind-Ups, so much as I was concerned with people topping Dark Hole on me.

I ended getting home about 12:00 am, and I kinda just loafed around, and watched The Simpsons. Finally I just messaged Patrick Archramovitch asking him his opinion of the deck, after I got what I needed to know, I re-sleeved put my cards away and tried to sleep. After being up four more hours than I wanted to be (At this point it was 4:00 am) South Park came on, and I pretty much COULDN'T go to sleep now. So after the four episodes ended I tried to sleep. It was finally 6:00 am and I finally had gone to sleep. Little did I know the sleep would not last as I set my phone alarm for 6:15 am and I woke up after fifteen minutes. So now I knew I would not be able to get to sleep, so I stayed up and watched some more television, listened to some music, and tried to print out a deck list sheet. At about 7:00 am I fell asleep again for half an hour and then my mom woke me up because it was time for me to shower, change and leave, and with that, I was off to the Convention Center.

Getting there early before the event there were a lot of people doing some last minute trading and play testing. I was doing neither, I was looking to borrow the last few cards I needed to play for tournament. Finally with few minutes to spare, my friend, Peter Di Massimo came to save the day, lending me the Zenmaines, I SO DESPERATELY NEEDED!

Round 1: Tom Vs. Jacob (From Card Masters) Glads
This match would start a trend, as I knew pretty much everyone I played from some locals I went to at some point in time except for my round 3 match, I had no clue who that guy was.
Game 1: He summons Thunder King, and sets two. I summon Dragonfly, Activate effect, equip hornet, pop a back row, and hit a Mirror Force, I special a Centipede, equip hornet, pop the Thunder king and search for a dragon fly. Seeing as he is so neg by now. I make a Zenmaines in attack, and he can't get over it.
Game 2: Pretty much the same as game 1.

1-0

Round 2: Tom Vs. Mark (I think his name is Mark, I don't know why I forgot, but he is from Pacific Mall) Absolute Zero
Game 1: He opens Duality, into ROTA, into Stratos, into Diamond dude, D-draws, activates future, dumps Mali Treeborn, sets typhoon warning passes. Game ends.
Game 2: I some how pull a win out of the same sort of situation, and the only inzektor I've seen so far is Gigamantis.
Game 3: He pulls the same crap as the last two games, and I have double Thunder King, a Dragonfly, and an allure, and I desperately need something off this allure. I allure... and I hit Dragonfly, Dragonfly, after drawing Dragonfly that turn. So I lose to an enormous sack.

1-1

By now, losing that badly I feel really discouraged so early and feel I don't wanna play.

Round 3: Tom Vs. Kevin Lee (I don't know where he's from) Lightsworn
Game 1: He drops boss monsters, and I Mind Control and Inzektor his guys, so I take the game.
Game 2: he tries to do the same thing, but again I just Overwhelm him with Inzektors.
He later shows me what he sided which was 3 Decrees and 7 other traps, and my mind is blown at how this guy could even win one match.

2-1

Round 4: Tom Vs. Random Agent Kid
Game 1: He drops a bunch of guys, and I combo him, and I drop something by accident thinking he had an out so that's why I didn't play it, and he just is like "OH MAN DAMN IT!" so I'm like... "Oh......kay?" so I go off and just destroy him that game.
Game 2: He pretty much gives me the same sort of reads on him, because he had too much emotion for every little thing going wrong, and he sure showed it when he was in trouble.

3-1

Round 5: Tom Vs. Jeffrey Leung (From Dolly's) Mirror Match
So this is my first mirror, and I'm nervous, because I ALWAYS lose to Jeffrey.
Game 1: We both open barely any monsters, just my cards happen to not be as terrible.
Game 2: Exact same situation.

4-1

Round 6: Tom Vs. Ravin (From Dolly's) Agents
Game 1: I just Overwhelm him turn after turn and he has to go neg to negate my stardust negating his zenmaines so he can pop a typhoon that I chain. So I win that game.
I count up his deck and he has 39 cards, I call the judge, it being Tristian, he obviously won't do anything, so I'm nice and I just say "Find the card, and we'll keep playing." He ended up finding it, and we went to game 2.
Game 2: He draws nuts, and I have no outs, so he Krystia's and I'm locked down.
Game 3:Combo him, he draws bls double shine ball.

5-1

Round 7: Tom Vs. Frankie (From Card Masters) TGU Plants
Game 1: I combo him like it's my job and he can't recover, even after he Avarice's.
Game 2: He Draws crazy nuts, so it's done.
Game 3: I have nothing, after he dust shot me. So I summon Dragonfly and he asks "Effect?" now he saw that I didn't have a Hornet in hand, and now I'm DEFINITELY reading a veiler, so I say yes, hoping he has it, and hoping I don't have to equip my other Dragonfly to it. Luckily he has the veiler, and I make a Zenmaines, and poke for turns. Finally he attacks into my Zenmaines, and then econs it during main phase two, and decides to resolve the effects the wrong way, so I get my Zenmaines back, and pop his back row. I end up combo-ing again. And with that, I win.

6-1

Round 8: Tom Vs. Xiu Yan (Or Daniel, from Dolly's) Mirror Match again
Game 1: I combo nuts him and he has nothing.
Game 2: I open Reborn, Book, Maxx "C" x2, and Dark Armed Dragon. I end up drawing, dprison, warning, warning, judgement, mst, mst, and no monsters to play. So I lose this game.
Game 3: So this was it... the final game, I win, I finally top, I lose, and I get the invite I came for. So I draw BROKEN and he draws just awful, he msts his own fiendish to drop gorz on the exact game I have on board, and I warning it. So that's it. That's the end of swiss.

Top 8. Tom Vs. Lazaro Bellido (Obviously from Card Masters) Mirror
Game 1: I play bad, I haven't slept in ages, I'm intimidated, and his deck is better.
Game 2: Repeat the last thing.

So there you have it. I finally top only to play Lazaro in top 8. I had a great time at regionals though. I had a couple of bad moments like when I though I lost my mat, but I ended up finding it. Other than that, it was a great day other than my pulls and my tiredness.

Props:
Never really playing this deck and doing well
Finally topping
getting the beautiful mat
Subway and McDonalds during the day
Hoops for dinner afterwards
Dope ass Pizza from hoops
Harrison P. finally topping at the same time as me! :D
Nathan going perfect
Bo Tang going x-1
Daniel for making it in after I beat him last round
Harrison Lightman smashing Jeffrey Cho and getting his invite

Slops:
Tiredness
Hunger throughout rounds
Almost losing my mat
Having to go straight from round 2
Everyone making jokes about how awful I am
Harrison Lightman Smashing Jeffrey Cho and getting his invite

I have since changed the decklist. But it was pretty bad, trip Maxx "C" double veiler, no duality, I have no clue what I was thinking, but hell. It worked.

Decklist:
1 Dark Armed Dragon
1 Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
1 Inzektor Gigamantis
1 Sangan
1 Armageddon Knight
1 Cyber Dragon
2 Thunder King Rai-Oh
2 Mystic Tomato
2 Effect Veiler
3 Maxx "C"
3 Inzektor Dragonfly
3 Inzektor Centipede
3 Inzektor Hornet

1 Dark Hole
1 Monster Reborn
1 Book of Moon
1 Allure of Darkness
1 Heavy Storm
1 Foolish Burial
1 Mind Control
2 Mystical Space Typhoon

1 Fiendish Chain
1 Trap Dustshoot
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Solemn Judgment
2 Solemn Warning
2 Dimensional Prison

Side
1 Cyber Dragon
1 Thunder King Rai-Oh
2 Fossil Dyna
2 Snowman Eater
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Smashing Ground
2 Dimensional Fissure

2 Bottomless Trap Hole

So yeah, kind of an awkward list, but I REALLY liked the deck, so I'm going to be playing it for a while.

Congratulations on topping. Ignore people saying you're bad. If they beat Inzektors, they'd be saying it's an awful archetype, since you obviously trounced them, they're just whiny man-children.

EDIT: Decklist please? :)

I guess I'll put the list up now, I was just EXHAUSTED when writing this, and went to bed right after, plus I had only come home like 2 hours before writing this.

Tl;Dr: Every round I desperately try to bargain with my opponent for a free win, which they all refuse, then I somehow end up winning anyway :D.

you call the judge vs somebody from your locals for losing a card?

***got

Not my locals anymore, Plus the judge was Tristian, last event I called someone on having a 38 card deck and he sat there, and let the guy put the **** it, and then deck checked us. So shut the **** up ******. If somebody is going to play with too few cards, I'm going to call the judge to see how this would work, because he's missing a card, so regardless he's going to lose, too few cards, and later on in the tournament people will call him on it too, I'm not ******* playing against a 39 card deck. So shut the **** up

Harrison P. is the brown one, Harrison lightman is the small kid who tries to rip people off and goes to CM more often he's the one that beat Jeffrey Cho.

no tgu? did it run smoothly without them?

Yeah it did. TGU is not needed at all, in my opinion it hinders the decks possibilities. I believe in that along with Duality are really bad for the deck. Players need to get out of the mentality that these cards are needed to be played. I have the Bellido's list pretty much figured out, and it's out of the box thinking, it was the best deck in top 8. But I stand by every choice I made in main deck aside from 3 Maxx "C" and possibly d-prison. I would probably side 2 d-prison, main 2 Fiendish Chain, and main 2 Maxx "C".

Additional Comment:

no tgu? did it run smoothly without them?

Also "******* You listening to this, Wolf Gang that's the Mother ********** click!"

Cause I saw that you're an OF fan.

I would love to see your current list, because I will go on YCS Leipzig and maybe your list can give me some inspirations for mine. Would be awesome if you post it here or send it in a message to me.
