So 2 weeks ago, I saw a vendor at Frank and Sons have Vanguard cards. I didn't have money at the time, so I got some this week. Man, so many people started to buy packs and decks, it was crazy. I got the Kagero Trial deck. I learned basics, but that's pretty much it. I would like some tips on building Kageros and how they are played. Thanks guys.

Well.. kagero is a very fun and power deck to play off the bath. All you really need is 1or 2 trial decks, 1 conroe, and 3 barri.

Kagerou revolves around retiring your opponents grade 1 and lower rear guards and destroying their support. Some cards and most of them have effects that either boost the unit when one is retired or retires a unit.

Kagerou are one of the stronger clans that can pretty much have an answer to everything. In the future sets they get cards that retire grade 1 and 0s they have an abundance of boss units and they are very competitive right out of the box.

You basically play to put pressure on the opponent. The trial deck right out of the box has a nice strategy. It basically gives you the basic draw engine(aermo and gojo)

Attacking with a unit boosted by aermo makes your opponent think of whether or not they want you to draw and speed through your deck.
Berserk dragons allow you to retire your opponents boosters and interceptors so you get better hits in, and if you combine this with Yaksha you basically put yourself at grade 3 a turn early and put more pressure on the opponent.
Wyvern strike tejas allows you to also hunt down the opponents boosters and backrow they want to protect usually these cards are weaker too so you force more out of their hand to guard
Dragonic overlord has a skill that makes the opponent really sweat because he boosts himself and again costs the opponent more to guard but if they let him hit they end up in a tight situation because dragonic overlord will restand after hitting the rearguard.
Dragon monk goku is basically the same thing as berserk dragon because he hunts boosters and key grade 1/0s

In further building you should focus on being able to stop your opponents strategy with your skills kagerou(meaning trap/trapper/hunter in japanese) work best that way... And really do trap your opponent by forcing out so much from their hand to replace rear guards and guard.
Most kagerou decks won't go without running 3 or more overlords because they have a great skill and base power and just get better in the future.

As for current building... There isn't too much to go after... You just build goku kagerou find 3 more gokus 2 more overlords conroe (he makes the deck so broken by letting you find ANY grade 1 meaning prrfect guards or big boosters)and the optional wyvern guard barris (perfect guards)

Hope this helps =)

Happy vanguard!
